Beyonce speaks out about bumping up "B'Day" for pre-sales advance the same week as former DC bandmate LeToya Luckett's album dropped: "I have enormous respect and admiration for LeToya as an artist and as a businesswoman and I wish her incredible success." "LeToya and I have known each other since childhood and, because of all we've been through, I know that we both really care — and want what's best — for each other. It makes me sad that people are trying to stir up a controversy where there is none."
Mathew Knowles on the accusations: "I'm shocked and amazed that this is even an issue." "It's standard practice in the music industry for upcoming albums to go on pre-sale well in advance of an in-store date.
Why do I sense there's some type of beef going on between Beyonce's Music World Camp and LeToya's Capitol Records?! Former best friends+ beefing=album sales & publicity!!! Look at how much of a career high beefing gave Nicole Richie and Paris Hilton. Let the fun and games begin!
