NEW MUSIC FROM CHRISETTE MICHELE: EPIPHANY
Epiphany the new single from Chrisette Michele’s upcoming sophomore album hit the music blogosphere today. The melody, lyrics, and flow sounds as promising and entertaining as her underrated gold-selling debut album, I Am. Chrisette's new single will impact radio officially on February 10th - just in time for Valentine's Day.

Photo: Def Jam

Chrisette won me over with her vocals at her joint concert gig with Raheem DeVaughn and Solange last summer. I'm definitely looking forward to listening to her new material. Chrisette's new album (with production by Ne-Yo) will be released on March 31st.

So do you like Chrisette's new single "Epiphany"...or not?

INDIA.ARIE PREPS NEW ALBUM
India.Arie(vocalist behind "I'm Not My Hair" & "Video") has come back to the music scene with a highly anticipated album, Testimony: Vol. 2, Love & Politics. India collaborated with close friend Musiq Soulchild on the track "Chocolate High" and she has a Gramps Morgan acoustic duet called "Therapy." (Both singles were release back in Fall 2008.) I absolutely love "Chocolate High" for its melody and lyrics.

"Chocolate High" feat. Musiq

The new India.Arie album drops on February 10th. Thanks Natalie Espinosa!

NEW MUSIC FROM LETOYA: "NOT ANYMORE"
The first official single ("Not Anymore") taken off Letoya Luckett's upcoming sophomore album, Lady Love, was written by Ne-Yo. Popular fansite, LETOYAONLINE.COM, has the song in full stream for you to check out. I think Letoya has another hit on her hands with this one. It's up there with the stellar success of "Torn." "Not Anymore" is definitely all types of Repeat-on-my-iPOD-potential!

LeToya Luckett - "Not Anymore"

The follow-up to 2006's LeToya is expected on April 7th with production by Pharrell, The Dream, Raphael Saadiq, Polow Da Don, StarGate, and Tricky Stewart. On the movie tip, Letoya just signed on to star in a new feature film based off her stage show, Preacher's Kid, according to various sources.

CIARA GRABS CHRIS BROWN FOR "TURN ME ON" DUET
Today a new song leaked from Ciara's upcoming record Fantasy Ride made its way onto the music blog scene. The new song in question is called "Turn Me On" with Chris Brown (who blatantly had a crush on Ciara. Remember their hot BET Awards performance?!) A full length music video from Ciara and Chris would certainly be entertaining. Unfortunately the song only leaked for a minute long tease. Give it a quick listen...

Ciara has been on point these past two months from the "Slow Down" duet with 50 Cent to her "Diva" freestyle to the release of her official single, "Never Ever" with Young Jeezy. Ciara's Fantasy Ride drops on April 3rd but what do you think of this new Ciara/Chris Brown song?

Check out this video of Chris dancing to "Single Ladies" at Liverpool studio. Funny...

THE DREAM & MARIAH'S "MY LOVE" DUET
The Dream (songwriter responsible for Rihanna's "Umbrella") has release his new single called "My Love" featuring Mariah Carey. "My Love" is taken off his sophomore album, "Love vs Money" (out February 17th). Mr. Falsetto and Mariah's 5 octave vocal range is a radio hit recipe waiting to be heard. Give it a quick listen...

SHONTELLE'S DUET WITH AKON: "STUCK WITH EACH OTHER"
Shontelle collaborated with Akon on her new single, "Stuck With Each Other." The Diane Warren-written track was produced by Rodney Jerkins and it will join the Chris Brown/Rihanna duet on the "Confessions of A Shopaholic" soundtrack. I think Shontelle may have another hit on her hands with this one. (Thanks Shontelle Online!)

RIHANNA'S A CHRIS BROWN BAD GIRL + XMAS PHOTOS
"Bad Girl" the new Rihanna track produced by Polow Da Don has vocals from the self-proclaimed "Good Girl Gone Bad" and her close friend Chris Brown. A formula that doesn't go wrong but quite right. Chris even raps on the track. These two ride the verse and chorus effortlessly. "Bad Girl" is said to be featured on the Confessions of A Shopaholic soundtrack. Try not to get that heavy bass beat out of your mind.

So do you like this Rihanna tune or not?

Moving right along...

Chris and Rihanna (who are supposedly engaged) celebrated Christmas today in Virgina with Rihanna's mother and two younger brothers. (Check out Rihanna's 'engagement ring' here. Things that make me go hmm...)

NEW MUSIC FROM CIARA & YOUNG JEEZY: "NEVER, EVER"
The first official single for Ciara's upcoming third album Fantasy Ride hit the radio via ATL's DJ Greg Street and eventually the buzz made its way onto blogosphere today - a day before its official release. The Polow Da Don-produced song in question is called, "Never, Ever" featuring Young Jeezy and the upbeat tune samples ‘If You Don’t Know Me By Now’ by Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes.

click here if you can't see the video.

Check out what Super C Ciara had to say about "Never, Ever' in a new Myspace blog:

CIARA (SUPER C) REMAKES BEYONCE'S DIVA
Ciara or rather her alter ego/comic book character Super C did a freestyle of Beyonce's current Sasha Fierce single, "Diva." The single was recorded for Ciara's upcoming "Fantasy Ride" mixtape which also has the "Slow Down" remix with 50 Cent. Simply put Ciara's vocals rides the track effortlessly just like when she did the "Feedback" remix. Now if only fellow R&B divas can hop on this remix like Mya, Christina Milian, Kelly Rowland or even Cassie. Check it out...

NEW MUSIC FROM CIARA & 50 CENT: SLOW DOWN REMIX
Taken off her upcoming Fantasy Ride mixtape, Ciara collaborated with 50 Cent (yet again) on the track, "Slow Down (Remix)." No doubt these two have great chemistry which is quite evident on the upbeat bombastic track. You already know that her alter ego Super C would nail this track when she gets to perform it live. (The beat is taken from Slim’s, “Good Lovin” featuring Fabolous & Ryan Leslie.)

In related news, Ciara appeared in the January 2009 edition of Women's Health magazine where she eagerly talked about her fitness tips. (Her rules left little doubt on how she secured that Wilhemina modeling contract!) Ciara also described her upcoming third album (Fantasy Ride) as a "roller coaster." Her new single, "Never Never" featuring Young Jeezy (produced by Polow Da Don) impacts on January 19th.

TEAIRRA MARI'S BACK
Former Princess of the Roc Teairra Mari has come back to the music industry via her new song with Pleasure P called, "Hunt For You." Check out these new promotional snapshots Teairra did in support of her upcoming album, At That Point off her new record label home Fo' Reel Entertainment/Interscope. (Teairra definitely is serious about her new sound and image this time around.)

Check out more promotional snapshots over at Concrete Loop.

"Hunt For You" featuring Pleasure P of Pretty Ricky

I have to admit this new sound was unexpected but I like it. The Benny Boom-directed video already has been shot and it would premiere mid-January. Check out more photos over at SingersRoom.

Teairra talked a little bit about her new song: “The first single is called ‘Hunt for you’, which is about being in a relationship with a guy and he’s changing, he’s acting different. So, you say I’m on the hunt, I’m looking for that sweet, warm embraceable you, that irreplaceable you, that good you. I like that song a lot because that happens all the time”.

TONI BRAXTON GETS LOOSE
Toni Braxton's musical comeback is in high gear thanks to the leaked lead single, "Get Loose" which is produced by Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins. On the track, Toni went for a upbeat Euro-pop sound that Ne-Yo tackled on "Closer." The sound is quite a turnaround from her club banger "He Wasn't Man Enough For Me" but it's a solid track. Toni's new untitled album is due out on Atlantic Records in 2009. (Thanks Toni Braxton Net & Black Voices Blog!)

ASHANTI'S SHINE ON FOX + HER DUET WITH PILES
Ashanti performed the lead single ("Shine") taken off Will Smith's "Seven Pounds" soundtrack on "Good Day NY" recently. (She also performed this song at Macy's Thanksgiving Parade.) I thought she effortlessly pulled off her performance with no back-up singers. "Shine" is the latest single to be released off Ashanti's current album, "The Declaration." Hopefully she'll release "You're Gonna Miss" and "So Over You" soon.

click here if you can't see the video.

Ashanti has a photo feature in the latest edition of Black Men magazine. (Well if her boyfriend Nelly can model his fit body for Sean John Underwear, Ashanti can do get on the modeling tip.)

Photos: ASHANTIHQ

On the music tip, Ashanti recorded a duet with Piles called "Want It, Need It" for his new single off his album, "Da REAList." The formula is sort of like the countless duets Ashanti did with Ja Rule. Check it out....

LIL KIM'S DISTURBIA REMAKE + HER JAMIE FOXX COLLABORATION
Lil' Kim recently did a live (and quite interesting) remake of Rihanna's song, "Disturbia" in Amsterdam. (Somewhere Rihanna will be amazed.) Kim flipped her hair in full blatant confidence all over the stage but do you think she pulled it off?

click here if you can't see the video.

Kim collaborated with Jamie Foxx on his new song, "Cover Girl" - a iTunes bonus track lifted from his new album, "Intuition." Loves it...

NEW MUSIC FROM JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE & T.I. "IF I"
"If I" is the third collaboration Justin Timberlake and T.I. worked on. (In the past JT and T.I appeared on "Dead & Gone" and "My Love.") Timbaland is said to be the producer behind this leaked track. (Is me or does Justin sound a little like Prince?!) I think these two have a winning charm appeal but give the song a quick listen...

TEYANA'S BLACK BEAT FEATURE + CIARA KEEPS DANCING WITH THE DREAM
Teyana Taylor (who just celebrated her 18th birthday) showcase her preppy tomboy style for the latest edition of Black Beat magazine. Her new single, "I Feel Alive (Spinning)" featuring Pharrell (off her soon to be released debut album, "From The Planet of Harlem") drops in early January.

Photos spotted at Stuff Fly People Like

Another hot leaked track lifted from Ciara's upcoming album "Fantasy Ride" hit the web today. The song is question is called "Keep Dancing" featuring The Dream. (Rumor has it that the song leaked much earlier this year.) The voices blend on this futuristic melody which I have on repeat now. Give it a quick listen...

JAMIE FOXX PROMOTES NEW ALBUM, "INTUITION" ON LENO & BIG BOY'S NEIGHBORHOOD
Jamie Foxx has been on TV and radio promoting his new album, "Intuition" out on December 16th. He kicked things off with a performance of his lead single, "Just Like Me" (without T.I. unfortunately) on "Tonight Show with Jay Leno" and a interview.

"Just Like Me" performance

"Interview with Jay Leno"

Jamie decided to add some humor during his radio interview with Big Boy's Neighborhood by targeting fellow actor-turned-singer Terrence Howard's music project. Jamie even went as far as imitating Terrence's voice and saying: "His album went plastic."

Click here if you can't see the video.

In better late than never news, check out Jamie's new leaked single called, "Digital Girl" featuring Kanye West and The Dream which I think has potential despites the heavy auto-tone use:

KEYSHIA COLE & MONICA'S "TRUST" DUET
Keyshia Cole teamed up with good friend Monica on the duet, "Trust" which appeared on Keyshia's upcoming third album, "A Different Me" (out December 16th). Keyshia and Monica's voices effortlessly blend together. So far this album is turning out to be another solid R&B record from Keyshia especially thanks to the leaked track, "You Complete Me." Hopefully Keyshia would release "Trust" as a single in the future. Check out Keyshia's new song with Nas over at The Talk of Town. In related news, Monica's clothing line Regions of Rock did a photoshoot last night with Derek Blanks which you can check out over at Straight From The A.

MUSIC HOOPLA WITH BRANDY & KEYSHIA COLE
Brandy and her long-time music producer Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins talked about the making of her fifth studio album, HUMAN, (out in stores today). The video blog is loaded with photo shoots and Brandy's studio sessions.

Brandy performed her current single, "Long Distance" on the CW11's Morning Show. (Watch the interview here.) She nailed it and I love how she switches up the tempo/melody each time she performs this song.

Keyshia Cole collaborated with Lil' Wayne on the 1994 Mary J Blige remake, "I Love You." Next up for Wayne and Keyshia is their joint "I Am Music" tour gig alongside Gym Class Heroes, T-Pain, and Keri Hilson. Let the evitable MJB/Keyshia comparison begin....

Keyshia Cole and Lil Wayne I Love You

So do you like this new Keyshia Cole song or not?

Keyshia also has a new single out just for the Holiday season called, "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas." Congrats to Keyshia for getting two Grammy nominations for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance and Best R&B song for "Heaven Sent"! Keyshia's third studio album, "A Different Me" drops on December 16th.
