TYLER PERRY OPENS HIS FILM & TV STUDIO IN ATLANTA

Tyler Perry held a huge celebration for the historic opening of his independent Film & TV studio in Atlanta, Georgia. Tyler made history because his studio is the first ever African-American owned. In attendance were Sidney Poitier, Cicely Tyson, Star Jones, Oprah Winfrey, Stedman Graham, Nicole Ari Parker, Boris Kodjoe, Lynn Whitfield, Eva Pigford, Lance Gross, John Legend, Tracey Edmonds, Holly Robinson Peete, Tasha Smith, Star Jones and Patti LaBelle. Clearly the dress code was black while the man of the moment rock a white suit.

According to Tyler, there are five sound stages after named Quincy Jones, Sidney Poitier, Ruby Dee, and Cicely Tyson. The fifth sound stage has yet to be named.

2008 HIP-HOP HONORS

Last night in New York City, Hammerstein Ballroom was the location spot for the 2008 Hip-Hop Honors. VH1 will not doubt air the urban music tribute special over and over again after its October 6th premiere. In the meanwhile, check out the stars that made it to the event like McLyte, Joy Bryant, Q-Tip, Nicole Murphy, Big Boi, Estelle, Fabolous, Wycelf, Tracy Morgan, Juelz Santana, Michael Strahan, and many more.

Big Boi recently spoked briefly about his upcoming ballet/dance plans and Blogxilla has the scoop on that development. Clearly Yves Saint Laurent platforms were the shoe choice for the event. PVC leggings were also a hot feature as evident by Estelle, Mc Lyte, and Eve.

FAVORITE PAIR

Eva ~~Pigford~~ Marcille of "America's Next Top Model" fame was seen rocking the same pair of gold dangling earrings to two red carpet events.

Although this fashion consistency may be consider a fashion faux move on Eva's part but it's fun watching her on-going relationship with actor Lance Gross on the catwalk.

The pair was seen at Nicey Nash's birthday soiree handling their PDA affair quite well. By the way Eva rock the same earrings to Black Enterprise All-Star event.

BET RIP THE RUNWAY 2008

BET pulled out the red carpet for its annual "Rip The Runway" fashion show.

The event bought out Lauren London, Nelly, Diddy, Egypt, Cassie, Teyana Taylor, Rosci, Terrence J, Charli Baltimore, Trey Songz, Lil' Mama, Estelle, Cheri Dennis, Rita G, and N.E.R.D.
BET's "Rip The Runway" filmed at New York City's Hammerstein Ballroom with performances from Teyana Taylor, N.E.R.D, Missy Elliott, and Snoop Dogg.

The urban fashion show highlighted many brands in the hip-hop community like Nelly's Apple Bottoms clothing line and Diddy's Sean John.

Hosted by Lauren London and Nelly, "Rip The Runway" was filmed and directed by music director Chris Robinson. "Rip The Runway" is set for a March 4th premiere on BET.
