Toni Braxton Announces New Album Release for 2007!! Universal Records announced today that the six-time Grammy winner and multi-platinum selling R&B Diva Toni Braxton is working on her second studio release expected to hit stores in March 2007. Braxton's maiden release 'Libra' with Universal/Blackground gained disappointing commercial success, compared to her unparalleled catalogue with Laface/Arista, however it did see the star back on the road where she completed sold-out nationwide tour. Shortly after Braxton struck a million-dollar deal with Flamingo Las Vegas becoming their new resident headliner. The much-anticipated new studio release is titled "Phoenix", which Braxton says "is like rising from the ashes" and includes tracks produced by 'Timbaland' and 'Darkchild' and is said to feature artists such as Snoop Dog and Missy Elliot. However, she says, "This album is going to be a throw back at why I am Toni Braxton." Perhaps the title song from the album - a duet with Dionne Warwick produced by David Foster and written by Diane Warren could be a glimpse of what to expect from Toni Braxton's new album. The single is set to premier at the 15th Annual Trumpet Awards in January 2007 where Braxton will receive the coveted Trumpet Honour for Entertainment. The new album will also see Braxton’s long term mentor Babyface returning onboard her production team and she says she is thrilled to have played a much bigger role in song writing and selection. Universal also informed that the first 500 copies of the new album would be a limited edition CD/DVD which would include never before seen exclusive footage from Braxton's Las Vegas show "Revealed."
