Us Weekly gives Janet's 20 Y.O. 3 1/2 out of 4 stars
US Weekly gives Miss Janet a 3.5 out of 4 stars review on her upcoming record, "20 Y.O." Be Sure to catch Janet on Oprah Monday!
Here's the review if you have trouble reading it from the picture above:
JANET JACKSON :
The In-Love diva offers a disc of sumptuous tracks
and sweet dance beats
Behind the music : Two decades after
her 1986 breakthrough album,Control,
Janet Jackson is back with her ninth
studio disc. Only this go-round, the
youngest Jackson is not just working with
longtime collaborators Jimmy Jam and
Terry Lewis, but also with her beau since
2002, writer-producer Jermaine Dupri.
The result? Her most joyful CD in years.
What's good: Song after song, Jackson
sounds just plain happy- not to
mention in Love. She sings on sensual
"Love 2 Love," "We are a couple/Whose
Love knows no bounds." On the smooth
"With U," she croons, "I wish you were
the one i could be with forever." The disc
- Which has her trademark whispery,
Spoken interludes - also has its share of
fun,bass-heavy dance tracks, like the
single "So Excited" (which samples
Herbie Hancock's "Rocket") and the
booty-shaker "This Body."
What's bad: T.M.I ! Miss Jackson gets a
little too nasty when she sings of
pleasuring herself (again!) on "Take Care"
Finale say : At 40, Jackson's still fierce
{US Weekly}
I LOVE HER SONG, 'CALL ON ME'...I KEPT THAT SONG ON REPEAT ALL NIGHT LONG!
