Jay-Z's "Kingdom Come" takes the number one spot

"Rapper JAY-Z's comeback album is set to be the year's (06) biggest debut when the new Billboard chart is released later today (29NOV06). The hip-hop mogul's KINGDOM COME is on course to debut at number one with a staggering 700,000-plus copies sold, according to estimates. Jay-Z launched the album with a day-long seven city promotional tour last weekend (18-19NOV06) and he closed off Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles last Wednesday (22NOV06) to host a free Thanksgiving Eve concert."

He thusly ties the Rolling Stones for the third-most No. 1s, behind the Beatles with 19 and Elvis Presley with 10."
