"Backstage [at the Oprah show], Beyonce hugged/greeted everyone, but did not say a word to or even look in Jennifer's direction. Jennifer was used to Mathew (who was always on set) being shady to her, but this was the first time Beyonce expressed any dislike or discomfort toward her. Finally, Jennifer went and spoke to Beyonce, but Beyonce acted just as distant and shady as her parents did at the movie screening."

OH wow! thanks for providing another point of view. I guess Beyonce IS hating on Jennifer Hudson. So all those rumors about LaTavia and LeToya leaving Destiny's Child all of a sudden is true then! Kelly Rowland needs to leave the Knowles clan and find new representation if she wants to succeed in the music biz. her acting roles are far better than beyonce yet she doesn't get as much shine as beyonce! such a shame!

I don't usually believe rumors but after seeing the Oprah show I feel a little differently. Oprah was positively gushing over J-Hud and the audience gave her a standing ovation for like 5 minutes! Beyonce smiled but she seemed really uncomfortable the whole time. It was also weird how she was completely turned in her chair and leaning into J-Hud's interview. Jamie Foxx didn't do that, he just sat in his chair normally. I don't know, Beyonce just seemed...tense. And after they showed J-Hud's clip, she just looked absolutely hurt. The poor thing didn't even know what to say when Oprah posed a question to both actresses. I think she doesn't understand that it's OK not to be perfect sometimes. Then she was just over-singing her song at the end. And it still didn't move the way that J-Hud's little 10 second clip did. I wouldn't blame Beyonce if she were jealous. J-Hud really steals the show in every way. But I'm betting that Beyonce probably did a really good job as well. I just hope she can find find joy in that rather than always having to be the center of attention.
I think Beyonce's problem is that someone is outshining her. She never had that problem in Destiny's Child. She got poor Kelly playing second fiddle to her. Kelly is like J-Hud in a lot of ways but I am puzzled she's not as a big star as Beyonce. Like Kelly had that huge hit with Nelly. I thought Kelly would be EVERYWHERE after that. Not to say Kelly wasn't everywhere (she's been on TV shows and did movies) but Kelly didn't shine like Beyonce. That's why Beyonce claims Dreamgirls is like a movie written for her. Beyonce is so used to the spotlight being on her I think she's hurt that all the attention has shifted to J-Hud. Dreamgirls is J-Hud's first movie role and beyonce has been in numerous acting roles. I think Beyonce should do something we all haven't seen just yet. She's been playing herself too often. She should do the opposite if she wants to get an Oscar. Diana Ross did it! Diana Ross acting skills were superb! BEyonce should take notice.

What is so ironic is that this upstaging saga has already happened with the original Broadway Cast of Dreamgirls where Sheryl Lee Ralph who played the same role as Beyonce was expecting the Broadway show to be her vehicle and it turned out to make Jennifer Holliday (how funny is it that they have the same initials and are both named Jennifer) the real star and recipient of a Tony award. I am surprised that if Beyonce truly knew about the stage play that she could not predict this happening. I certainly did. I thought she knew that was probably going to happen and was just happy to play the part of Deena since Deena is known to be not the best singer of the "Dreams" in the plot. Apparently that wasn't the case.
I would love to see Beyonce playing someone NOT like herself. As much as she claims in recent interviews Deena is nothing like her come on let's be real! "Dreamgirls" can be a semi bio pic about her with Destiny's Child. Now it came to light that Kelly and LeToya equally have talent just like Beyonce!
Beyonce needs to stop picking roles that we have already seen her as.

Is Beyonce green at buzz for co-star?
November 21, 2006

Could things possibly be not so dreamy between a couple of the "Dreamgirls" stars? Though representatives for all involved already are denying it, there are rumors Beyonce Knowles -- and especially her parents Matthewand Tina Knowles -- are none too happy about all the Oscar buzz going to Beyonce's co-star, and Chicago native, Jennifer Hudson.
First tipped by the MediaTakeOut Web site, the Knowleses reportedly are upset about more of the spotlight being focused on Hudson, the former "American Idol" star, rather than Beyonce -- who shares top billing on the film with Jamie Foxx and Eddie Murphy.
Based on the hit Broadway musical, the film debuts nationally on Christmas Day. It received a huge boost Monday when Oprah Winfrey devoted her entire show to the upcoming film.
Though friendly on stage, sources claim Beyonce was very chilly to Hudson behind the scenes at "Oprah" -- though a source at Harpo (which produces the show) called that "just plain silly... everyone backstage was happy, friendly and talking to everyone involved."
We'll see how "happy and friendly" everyone is when those Golden Globe and Oscar nominations start coming out.
