Miss Chi Chi's Top 10 Couples of 2006

Welcome to the first installment of my top 10 end of the year list. I went back and forth on whether or not I should do this type of list because I only started up this blog halfway through the year (July 2006) to be correct. So here is my top 10 couples of the year in NO particular order.

Dule Hill
Known for his role on "The West Wing" Dule is often photographed walking down the red carpet with his long-time girlfriend. These two even made his best friend actor Freddie Prinze Jr's wedding in Mexico.

Omar Epps and Keisha from Total
Omar and his wifey Keisha are like the underrated black couple. Pre-Keisha Omar had Sanaa Lathan as his sidekick but then Keisha came along and it's been Omar hearts Keisha ever since.

Wesley Johnathan and Dencye Lawton
Remember him from the Saturday teen series, "City High" or his role in "Roll Bounce." Wesley Johnathan is rarely seen out with his girl but when he does he and his girl looks very much happy to be together.

Beyonce & Jay-Z
2006 is the year of these two. They were everywhere. The duo shared the stage at the 2006 BET Awards and they're been photographed doing random things ever since. Seeing these two out and about is sort of 'deja vu.' Word is that Beyonce is shooting the music video to "Upgrade U"---another hot Bee and J song.

Kelis and Nas
Nas said he knew Kelis would be his wifey from the minute he laid his eyes on her. Luckily for him, Kelis complied with his future. Kelis had a great year--she introduced us to her "Bossy" side. Kelis had Nas on her song, "Blindfold Me" which offered to the public the intimate side of this hip-hop royality couple. Out of all the couples they were my favorite to report on! Kelis is also featured on her husband's hot new record, "Hip-Hop is Dead."

Nick Cannon/Christina Milan/Kim/Joy Bryant
Just who was NOT linked to Nick this year?!?! I blame it on the success of his improv show, "Wild N Out."

Kanye West and Alexis
As soon as word broke out Kanye's off the market, Kanye made it a point to be photographed at each and every major event he attended like fashion week in NYC with his girl right by his side.

bonus couple:Superhead and Bobby Brown
I applaud this relationship because it gave Whitney the incentive to send Bobby the divorce papers! Great job, Superhead, great job!

Ashanti and Nelly
These two are too cute and their love for each other is bananas! They finally made a red carpet appearence at the movie premiere of her new film, "John Tucket Must Die."

Janet and JD
Love it or hate it- Janet loves her some JD. JD got her sprung on his loving and Janet felt the need to share it all with her. Ain't no shame in all of that, Miss Jackson!

T.I and Tiny
Wherever T.I was Tiny was shortly behind her man supporting each step of the way. Tiny's definitely a ride or die chick. Ya'll hear me T.I groupies?!?!

bonus couple: Mary J. Blige and Kendu Isaacs
MJB credits Kendu for bringing out the best in her. Kendu is also the man behind her Grammy-nominated album, "The Breakthrough" which happens to be one of my favorite MJB records of all time.

Honorable mentions
Here are some couples under the rate from the paparazzi lens then didn't make the top 10 list because they're hardly speak of their relationship!
Jeezy and Keyisha Cole
They have yet to acknowledge their relationship but best believe the streets are talking!

Usher and Tameka Foster Glover
Usher is being smart mixing business with pleasure. Tameka hooks him up with some fly clothes and Usher uses their relationship for inspiration for his next album. Don't tell me Confessions wasn't about Ms. Rozanda Thomas, ya'll!

The Game and Samantha Mumba
They are a couple now but where's the pictures?! I mean all he had to say he likes her and they're a couple? Game's just about it like that!

Ciara and Michael Ealy
Were they or weren't they? It was fun rumor to indulge in for a minute.

Mariah Carey and Trey Songz
Yes they're dating. Check out Trey's myspace page for proof but can we get some pictures of these two?

Nick Lahey and Vanessa Minnillo
Nick moved onto smarter girls. Re: Not dumb blonde types like his ex, Jessica. These two have lasted much longer than skeptics felt they would have.

Rosci and Tyrese
Are you for real? Well Tyrese seems to be. They just decided to cross the lines of friendship after nine years of knowing each other.

Christina Aguilera and Jordan Bratman
Xtina should teach Britney a thing or two about juggling a career and marriage. Xtina's doing it all well. She and Jordan just celebrated their one year anniversary together--Congrats!

Lil' Kim and Scott Storch
Yes they were a couple for a hot minute and they both look a hot mess together but hey they do say love is blind!

Christina Milan and Dre
Chris moved on from Nick to Dre and we haven't heard much from her on her love life but when she comes out she straightens everything out on her myspace page!

Kerry Washington and David Moscow
These two bought out the best of each other. Kerry and David were at every red carpet event they were invited to. They've been engaged for awhile and haven't show any signs of a wedding any time soon.
