Usher in the studio
This picture of Usher was taken at his home studio in Atlanta where he's hard at work recording his follow-up to his diamond-selling, Confessions. Usher is working with Jermaine Dupri and has said he would like to work with Robin Thicke. This would not be the first time Usher and Robin worked together in the studio. Robin Thicke co-wrote "Dot Com" a slow ode to Internet loving. Usher is also working with Janet's music producer Flye Time producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, Swizz Beats, Ryan Leslie, Ne-Yo, Dre & Vidal, and Amerie's former hit-men Rich Harrison. The Grammy-Award winning singer/record label CEO also said Jay-Z will appear on his record as well. Catch Usher on Jay-Z's "Kingdom Come" track, "Anything" featuring Pharrell Williams. Usher has A LOT of material to sing about from his run on Broadway to his rumored love affair with his first love Karen Verneen, supermodel Naomi Campbell and stylist Tameka Foster Glover to his efforts helping the victims of Hurricane Katrina. 2007 is looking to be a good year for R&B. It's about time!
If the song he did with Jay-Z "Anything" or his historic run on Braodway is a hot sample of Usher's new music, bring it on. R&B is need of some Usher music on the radio.
Ne-Yo needs to quit stealing this man's swagger, already!
