Introducing Trenyce
I was just sent this e-mail that I thought all you "American Idol" fans will appreciate. Fantasia is not the only "American Idol" finalist making it on Broadway. Trenyce has acted in the Broadway play alongside Morris Chestnut and singer Avant. Trenyce and Jennifer Hudson have something in common already other than being on "American Idol"---they both star in "Dreamgirls." (FYI: all words in italics are links to get more info on Trenyce!)
------
Season two American Idol favorite Trenyce, who everyone but Simon Cowell called the heir to Whitney Houston, is doing quite well since Ruben Studdard won that season. (She was Paula Abdul's wildcard pick and that was before Paula started showing up drunk).
In addition to starring in David E. Talbert’s touring musical Love in the Nick of Tyme opposite Morris Chestnut, Ellia English (‘The Jamie Foxx Show’), Avant and Terry Dexter; she's also getting ready to head to Broadway. Trenyce has been tapped to star in the Broadway musical Invisible Life, the theatrical adaptation of E. Lynn Harris’s controversial book about down-low life. The musical will be directed by Broadway veteran George Faison and feature original music by the legendary Ashford & Simpson.
Most recently, Trenyce headlined V: The Ultimate Variety Show at the Aladdin Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas and starred as Deena in the Indianapolis production of Dreamgirls. She also guest-starred on the last season of BET’s College Hill and had a cameo in the Queen Latifah film "Beauty Shop."

She also appears on the new album Just Norwood by singer (and E! High Maintenance 90210 personality) Norwood Young.
