Neo-soul songstress Jill Scott pose for these gorgerous "Why Did I Get Married" portraits.



Shortly after filming the Tyler Perry-directed film, Jill tackle on her first leading lady role in the forthcoming, "The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency". The film was shot entirely in Africa which Jill has said she 'misses its sky.'

As of yet, her third record, "The Real Thing: Words and Sounds, Volume 3" landed at the # 2 spot on the Top R&B/Hip Hop Charts.

Jill also open up a bit more about her divorce from husband and manager, Lyzell Williams:

"Working together was a mistake, because I have to live separate lives. My life on the road is one thing. I'm very focused, I'm very dedicated, I do what I came to do with all my heart. but when I come home, I want to do what I came to do with all my heart. I wanna cook, I want to be loved, I want to give love," she says. "Once we stopped working together, there was nothing else to talk about, there was nothing else to do, and that's very lonely."
