NICOLE SCHERZINGER AND T.I ON THE COVER OF RAP-UP MAGAZINE
Nicole Scherzinger and T.I are on the December/January cover issues of of "Rap Up" magazine. In the issue, you can except info on T.I's house arrest, his film role in "American Gangster", and his impending trial. Also, Nicole promotes her debut record, "Her Name Is Nicole" which is set for a early 2008 release.
On her ideal celebrity guy: “I think one time I was like, ‘Matthew McConaughey is such a hottie and he’s a surfer.’ I used to kinda have a crush on him. Everybody loves that guy from The Notebook [Ryan Gosling]. Every girl watches and is like, ‘That’s gonna be me one day. It’s gonna be my guy.’”
On her Internet techniques and blogs: “I don’t know how to work an Internet. I don’t know how to get on my MySpace. But I don’t really read blogs. The couple that I do, they break my heart, so I don’t like them. But it’s okay because it keeps the eye of the tiger in me.”
The Pussycat Doll speaks about going solo, her admiration for Beyoncé and Gwen Stefani, getting up close and personal with T.I., being a nerd in college, and dealing with the paparazzi. In fact, Nicole had this to say about fame: "There were a couple weeks when I actually went out and got a taste of that media stuff and I was not feeling it. I don't want to be known just as some socialite or for what I'm wearing."
On his plans to marry girlfriend Tiny: “Yeah, we talked about it. But we also talked about wanting it to be our event instead of it being everyone else’s event. So we just keep it to ourselves whatever we do.”
On starting a family with Tiny: “After [Tiny gave birth to a stillborn baby], it’s difficult to think about it, to put yourself in that mind state, to take that chance again. But yeah, sure, I’ll have as many kids as I can.”
The rapper who's currently under house arrest shares how he maintains his fast-paced lifestyle, his plans to marry and start a family with girlfriend Tiny, staying out of trouble, his friendship with Suge Knight and Jay-Z, and retiring from rap. Here's what T.I had to say about retiring: "It's definitely not the look I'm going for. I'm working diligently, daily, to try to reform, and rectify these things. But until I do, I need everybody to bare with me. If they can't bare with me one way, they gonna have to bare with me another."
[Special thanks to Rap-Up for the quotes and pictures.]
