ON THE GO: BEYONCE AT BAR PITTI
Beyonce Knowles was spotted leaving Bar Pitti restaurant in New York City with a colorful Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2008 (re: "Miss Pocket" patchwork) oversized bag. Beyonce has a habit of rocking designer bags with interesting patterns/textures. (Remember when she was seen with a $46,00 Louis Vuitton monogram tote outside Kelly Rowland's "Ms. Kelly" album release party last year?)
"Forbes" magazine placed Beyonce on the number four slot for their annual world's most powerful celebrity list. Beyonce's high ranking position was based upon her successful business ventures in fashion (re: House of Dereon), film, and music (re: publishing deals). (All those endorsement deals Beyonce has with L'Oreal, Emporio Armani, Samantha Thavasa, and Samsung has paid off for her as she made a estimated $10 million annually.)
Jessica Simpson was spotted outside her Manhattan hotel with a colorful Minority clutch and Azzedine Alaia cork platforms. (Notice the patterns of Jessica's bag matches Beyonce's?)
So is it safe to say that Beyonce and Jessica ignited a new handbag craze for the Summer? Time will only tell but in the meantime check out the D&G Spring/Summer '08 ready-to-wear collection over at ELLE.COM.

I didn't know you had another site, until I clicked the 46K LV link. Hmmmm...cool site, but looks like you incorporated that to this one. Anywho, I love your site and the fact that post celeb biz/gossip while occasionally pointing out what they are wearing! I think it's great because I often see a celeb in a hot shoe/bag/dress and wonder who designed it. Keep up the good work!
I checked out the pic of that $46K Vuitton and it looks like a Hobo bag. I would love to see the stats on number of bags actually sold. I bet it's like Zero!
