When it comes to clearing up rumors, Michelle regularly updates her fans and critics via her official myspace blog. Michelle shot down the album push back rumor. Her album, "Unexpected" still has its August 12th release date. On the flip side, Tha Feedback has Michelle's new leaked track called, "The Greatest." Needless to say the song is hot!

On the music aspect of her career, Michelle's single, "We Break The Dawn" secured the number one spot on the Billboard Hot Dance Radio Chart. Because of that accomplishment, Michelle added a new blog thanking all of her fans: I knew that with the love and support from you guys that this would happen!! I'm gonna celebrate a tiny bit bcuz this is the first 1 song for me. I've had a number one album in the past but never an actual song. I say I'll celebrate a tiny bit bcuz I still have a long way to go in conquering the other charts!!!I thank you guys from the bottom of my heart!! This is so awesome!!! So it's safe to say that her album title definitely suits the underdog from Destiny's Child.
