"Girlfriends" actress Tracee Ellis Ross revealed the reason why Jill Marie Jones ("Toni") will NOT be returning this season in the recent issue of "Vibe Vixen" as seen on Hip Candy:

So today I'm listening to Shirley Strawberry's
entertainment report on KDAY 93.5FM...
She gets on the subject of Jill Marie Jones no longer
being on Girlfriends. She goes on to say that Jill left over some
money issue with The CW Network (this is the WB and UPN now).
She was saying that Jill feels like she was "stabbed in the back"
by the other three chicks on the show.
I'm not pluggin their names... Anyway, all four girls were
suppose to hold out to get more money from the network
BUT apparently the other three caved and
just took some crumbs off the floor.
Now Jill has bounced from the show.
The creator of the show is saying they
"will move forward" without Jill...
Jill Marie Jones doesn't appear in the promotional pictures on Girlfriends page on The CW website either...but don't worry Jill living life. Recently, Jill Marie was spotted at Usher's "Chicago" Broadway premiere with Gabrielle Union.
