"FANS TO GET EARLY SNEAK PEEK AT DREAMGIRLS
If Dec. 25 is too far away for fans to wait and see the big-screen adaptation of the Broadway hit, Dreamgirls, then they can check it out 10 days earlier for a hefty price. For $25 a pop, anxious moviegoers can check out the movie at New York’s Ziegfeld Theater, Los Angeles’s Cinerama Dome and San Francisco’s Metreon Theater beginning Dec. 15 and ending Christmas Eve. The hefty price entitles moviegoers to reserved seating and a 50-page limited edition program. Each location will also feature an on-site exhibit of costumes and set designs from the movie. Moviegoers will also have the opportunity to purchase exclusive merchandise, including the film’s soundtrack, in the theater lobby. “Dreamgirls is a special film, the kind that comes along once in a generation. We wanted to bring it to audiences in a special way, and we think this road show does the film justice,” Jim Sharp, president of Paramount Distribution, said in a statement on the movie’s official website. Dreamgirls’ star-studded cast includes Beyonce Knowles, Jennifer Hudson, Eddie Murphy, Jamie Foxx, Danny Glover and Loretta Divine. "
