Jennifer Hudson and Beyonce Knowles scores Golden Globes nomination for "Dreamgirls"
Jennifer Hudson and Beyonce Knowles scores Golden Globes nomination for "Dreamgirls" according to People magazine. Congrats to the pair! "Among the Golden Globes nominees announced Thursday, two actors are already winners: Leonardo DiCaprio, who scored best actor in a drama nods for both Blood Diamond and The Departed, and Jennifer Hudson, nominated for best supporting actress in her big-screen debut, Dreamgirls. "I'm overwhelmed right now," Hudson said on the Today show immediately after the nominations were announced. "I just started screaming when they said the names." Dreamgirls racked up multiple nominations, including a best actress, musical or comedy, nod for star Beyoncé Knowles and a supporting actor nomination for Eddie Murphy. Shut out was writer-director Bill Condon." Beyonce portrayed Deena Jones and Jennifer Hudson portrayed Effie White. Okay I'm going to pop my popcorn and tune in to watch the Golden Globes like I always do every year. This year is quite special because "Dreamgirls" is recognized by The Golden Globes---an ensemble African American film all up in the mix. I know J-Hud and Bee would do the damn time on the red carpet! The 64th Annual Golden Globe Awards will air live on NBC on Monday, Jan. 15. Check your local listings, folks!
Congrats to J-Hud and Bee!
