Amerie dropped her new music video, "Take Control" which happens to be the lead single off her new album, "Because I Love You." I've always been a fan of hers since I heard "Why Don't We Fall In Love?" on the radio.

Amerie co-directed the video and here's what she had to say about the video treatment on her official myspace page...
"Wednesday, November 01, 2006 "TAKE CONTROL"/"THAT'S WHAT U R" VIDEO Hey guys! I just wrapped up shooting my new video! Scott Franklin & I directed the video, and we are all so excited! I don't even want to tell you guys the premise because I'll be premiering it in about 3 weeks, so I want you to be surprised. But I will say that it's like a movie, and it has some hot movement! :):):) Scott is meticulous and so on point, and is just the sweetest person; he was 1st AD on "1 Thing" and we always spoke about working together. Lenny & I had been tossing the concept for the video around in our heads for a couple months, so it's so great to see it coming to fruition! Thanks for the comments & the voicemail msgs! :) :) A"

"Take Control" is funky and has a catchy old school feel to it. I've been blasting her last album so much. Diddy makes me mad! Amerie and Carl Thomas had a HOT song together called, "Can We Go." That song had to be one of realest R&B duets ever! "1 Thing" and the success of that song overshadowed what I feel is Amerie's best record to date. I hope "Because I Love You" tops her last musical effort!
Back to the music video I like the concept of her being a secret agent/model. Kind of gangsta. Her outfits are cute!
