Famed African American author Terry McMillian of 'How Stella Got Her Groove Back" and many known tales and her ex husband Plummer are undergoing a nasty post divorce battle once again.
'From our "Black Data," Division: Matier & Ross (SF Chronicle) are reporting that Terry McMillan's ex-husband has signed a book deal with Simon & Schuster for a fictionized tell-all account based on his marriage with McMillan. The reporters received several emails from McMillan, including a plea: "I just do not want to end up dead because no one did anything to stop him." Plummer left a message on McMillan's answering machine, telling her, "There are people that are dying to hear your homophobic messages. All this can go away if you make me a offer. It's just something for me to see if I can get back on my feet because you know I'm struggling." Plummer acknowledged that he left the phone message asking for money. "Basically, I was saying if you don't want me to do any more interviews, just make me an offer." She calls it extortion, Plummer said.
Meanwhile, McMillan said, Plummer filed bogus bankruptcy papers for his failed dog-grooming business and left her holding the bag for $32,000 in income he didn't expose to the IRS. When she replied with a "cease and desist" letter, she says, Plummer retaliated with the threat to go public with her phone messages. McMillan says she went to the FBI but the agency called it a civil matter and wouldn't touch it. Plummer adds, "A black woman scorned is the worst kind of scorn-and I've felt it from Terry. That's why I'm doing this book, to help black men who have come out of the closet and to give my spin on things." The reporters received another call from Plummer a few hours later, he asked, "Do you think you could mention where I work-"The Diablo Beauty Salon," in Danville? I could use the clients." {Source}

Nia Long's secret athlete boyfriend from her recent interview for Essence magazine has been revealed.
'Nia Long was spotted at a Golden Globes after-party last week with her new man, Cuttino Mobley (pictured above). The 33 year-old basketball player signed a $42 million dollar deal with the Clippers two years ago. This is likely the guy that knocked out her son's father at LA's Grove shopping center last year. Nia mentioned in a recent issue of Essence magazine that her new man was an athlete.'

Stomp the Yard is number one for the second week in a row.
'Dance movie STOMP THE YARD held on to the top spot at the US box office for the second week in a row, taking $13.3 million (GBP6.8 million).
The film narrowly beat BEN STILLER's family comedy NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM, which continued to perform well with $13 million (GBP6.7 million) to maintain second place for the second weekend in a row.
Musical extravaganza DREAMGIRLS moved up one spot to third with $8.7 million (GBP4.5 million), after getting a boost from JENNIFER HUDSON's Best Supporting Actress win at the Golden Globe Awards last week (15JAN07).
The only film to open nationwide this weekend, the horror movie THE HITCHER, had a disappointing fourth place opening with only $8.2 million (GBP4.2 million).
THE LAST KING OF SCOTLAND was the biggest beneficiary of the post-Golden Globe buzz, expanding from four theaters to 495 and taking in an estimated $1.8 million (GBP923,000).
FOREST WHITAKER won a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor In A Drama for his portrayal of Ugandan dictator IDI AMIN in the film and is considered a favourite for an Academy Award.'

Leonardo DiCarpio wanted to quit acting after the mega success of 'Titanic.'
He says, "It was pretty disheartening to be objectified like that. I wanted to stop acting for a little bit.
"But it changed my life in a lot of ways, but at the same time, I can't say that it didn't give me opportunities. It made me, for the first time, in control of my career."

Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher wouldn't film the remake of the 1967 'The Graduate' because they feel real-life couples in films don't succeed.
'Moore, 44, initially thought the older woman and younger man scenario in the film - which originally starred ANNE BANCROFT and DUSTIN HOFFMAN - would be perfect for her and Kutcher, who is 16 years her junior.
However, Moore now believes it would be a bad idea.
She says, "Real couples being on screen together never seems to work."

Norah Jones is loved for her sultry, soothing voice...
So which hunky man recently left the singer tongue-tied and squeaky?
Norah lost her voice during a scene with hottie Jude Law in her movie debut, Blueberry Nights.
She confessed: "My first scene was with Jude and listening to the playback my voice was like helium and you could all but hear my knees knock.

"I had to slap myself hard around the face, metaphorically, and say, 'Norah, be fearless, or forget it, OK?'"
Blueberry Nights is about a young woman who takes a long road trip to find true love.
The Grammy-winner also admitted she was extremely nervous about working with her other Blueberry co-stars Natalie Portman, Rachel Weisz and David Strathairn.
She said: "Hearing that list of names for the first time I was more terrified than ever, like, 'What on earth have I got myself into?'"

Alicia Keys is presenting four lucky students with scholarship for college.
'R+B star ALICIA KEYS is offering four scholarships to students who need financial help to attend university.

The Grammy Award winner is offering $5,000 (GBP2,600) scholarships to students from four cities in the US.
She explains, "We're just looking for standout students who are definitely college-bound and need a little bit of help financially to really achieve their dreams."
The four scholarship winners will be selected in Jacksonville, Florida, New Orleans, Louisiana, Atlanta, Georgia and New York City's Harlem neighbourhood.
The Open Doors Scholars Program is part of From The Ground Up, a Jacksonville-based nonprofit organisation started by Keys' road manager, DJ WALTON, who went to college in Jacksonville.
In return for their scholarships, the students will represent the organisation at school appearances and must perform community service each semester.'

POSH and BECKS have only been in LA for five minutes but they are already in talks to star in their own TV show. They've been asked by US channel Fox to make a flyon- the-wall series called Living With The Beckhams - like The Osbournes only with less swearing.
A source said: "At the moment neither David nor Victoria are majorly famous in the States. But starring in their own show on one of America's biggest channels would catapult them to instant stardom.
"OZZY and SHARON OSBOURNE were watched by millions and bosses think a show on the Beckhams could be just as good." David, 31, and Victoria, 32, were in Being Victoria Beckham and The Real Beckhams, in the UK.

I'm glad he realized this and fired his publicist. He needs some heavy duty crisis managment on that mouth of his.
