Jordana Brewster to start in Brangelina's 'Mr. & Mrs. Smith' on ABC
Jordana Brewster is set to appear in the ABC adapation of the popular 2005 film, "Mr. & Mrs. Smith."
"ABC has locked and loaded the male lead for its ''Mr. and Mrs. Smith'' pilot. Martin Henderson, currently co-starring in ''Smokin' Aces,'' will step into the Brad Pitt role in the Alphabet's adaptation of the movie, according to The Hollywood Reporter . The New Zealand-born Henderson will star opposite Jordana Brewster in ''Mr. and Mrs. Smith." {The Salt Lake Tribune}
Here's what Us Weekly had to say about Jordana's current acting gig:
"Talk about filling big shoes, actress Jordana Brewster has been cast as Jane in the TV version of Mr. & Mrs. Smith, a role made famous by Angelina Jolie on the big screen in 2005 (and made infamous by the on-set relationship that sparked between Jolie and her costar, a then-married Brad Pitt, 43). The pilot episode for ABC-which picks up about six months after the events of the movie ended- begins filming this month in Los Angeles (the male lead has yet to be cast) and follows the titular married assassins as they continue to struggle with the adjustment to surburban life. So how can Brewster, 26 (last seen in 2006's The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning), make people forget about Jolie, 31? Advises Hollywood acting coach Elisa Eliot, "She shouldn't mimic Angelina. She should be true to the character." I hope the TV Show is better than the movie because the movie gave me a headache. And by the end I was wondering "what just happened here?"
