Loose Talk: Omarion on his mother's advice
R&B star Omarion has thanked his mother [Leslie Burrell] for advising him to become a singer early on in his career - because now he gets lots of female attention. The former B2K singer - who became a devout Christian and believer in abstinence a few years ago - now has a successful solo career to add to his resume, but he knows his fame is all down to his mother Leslie's useful advice. He says, "Truthfully, I was really young when I started that rap group and my mom said something to me. She knew exactly what to say to me at that time. "She said to me, 'Omari, you might want to sing.' I said, 'Why?' She said, 'Because you know singers get all the women.' I was like, 'Okay.' It stuck with me." [source]
