NEWSSTAND SNAPSHOTS & OTHER HOOPLA
Nia Long, in New York City, to promote her new movie with Ice Cube, "Are We Done Yet" was spotted out and about before catching the Philadelphia 76ers go up against the New York Knicks.
Eurweb, who recently interviewed Miss Long, felt that Nia is being typecast as the pregnant girl and this is what she had to say about that:
"In the last film, you saw her, she was troubled. She was going through a divorce. her ex-husband was playing games. It was "Where are my kids? Where are my kids? Where are my kids?" In this one, you see her as sort of this resolved woman who's like, "Okay, I'm pregnant, I'm married, I'm not working, I'm a stay-at-home mom, and this is my new life." And so, with that, you see a lighter part of her personality. She's much more optimistic about things. She wants everything to be great, but she'll still tell you like it is. She's not a fool."

Here's the full interview Gwen did:
On looking good on the go:
"There's always paparazzi outside my house. If you had paparazzi outside your house, you'd make sure you looked good, too."
On Gavin being a great father:
"I even wrote in a song, 'You seem like you'd be a good dad.' So, yeah, he's lived up to my expectations, more than. He has always been very loving and romantic."
On her fashion style:
"I've gotten a little more feminine over the last few years. Right into my late 20s, I never wore heels; I was always in my Doc Martens and baggy pants. But as the years go by, you get more comfortable with looking more like a woman."
On her ongoing battle with weight:
"Seriously, though, it's very boring and embarrassing and I hate talking about it, but it's true: I've always been on a diet, ever since I was in the sixth grade. It's an ongoing battle, and it's a nightmare. But I like clothes too much, and I always wanted to wear the outfits I would make. And I'm-" another chuckle "-very vain."
On where she’ll be in 10 years:
"Some days, I think there's no way to get away with this any longer…I still feel like that sometimes, even though it's been 20 years. But then some days, I just feel really inspired and I really believe in everything. It's like the 15 minutes just keep getting longer."
On getting back into shape after giving birth:
“It’s so much work afterward to get the weight off. I thought I was going to throw up (the first time she went jogging after giving birth). If you just do it, it comes off. And when you’re nursing, like I am, your metabolism is like, whoosh!"

Just like I said last week that Shenelle Scott needs more poeple, Jay-Z comes out with a statement.
Jay-Z has issued a statement stating that he is "not" the father of Shenelle Scott's son. A spokesman for Jay-Z said, "People should be ashamed of using this kind of story and exploiting a child for publicity and ratings."
Halle Berry recently told Us Weekly that she's furious about the suicide story that she spoke out 10 years ago is being exploit by Parade Magazine: "It wasn't my wish to go into all of that again in this time of my life. I talked about it on Larry King Live and Oprah when it was relevant, and I felt like it was important to help other women and share it with them. Back in the day, I did feel empowered when I told that story and I felt, 'This might help somebody because I survived it and I learned a lot.' "But it's just not where I am today and I really hate that it's been presented like it is... I'm in such a great time in my life right now it wouldn't be my wish to really revisit that period, but this outlet did and made it seem as if it were current again. Because I have a movie out some magazine has sensationalized some old material and it's not something that I want to talk about. It's 10 years old and I'm so past it." [source] So is Halle confirming that her first husband David Justice is the man behind her attempted suicide?! WOW!
Right before this N.W.A days, Ice Cube was a certified architect. "When N.W.A. was first about to pop off I wasn't sure if I was gonna make a living at it... Cussin' on the radio? I didn't know if that was gonna bring me any money. So I ended up going to school in Phoenix and spending a year out there... (but) I haven't picked up my certificate since I got it. If you want me to draw you up a house I can draw you up a house; I don't know if it's gonna be liveable." [source]
Architect is my side hustle too as well and no I'm not joking at all, lol!
