Balancing on top of her pricey black and white Sergio Rossi Giambattista Valli heels, R&B diva Mariah Carey was spotted leaving high-end eatery, Ago, in L.A Monday night.


JD recently sat with MTV News to discuss why the much-talked about Janet/Mariah duet hasn't happened. Nelly even tried to get the duet on his upcoming album, "Brass Knuckles" but that idea never materialized:

"The thing about that is, I don't force an idea," Dupri explained. "It's a great idea if you can come up with the record. It has to be something that's organic. It can't be something we force just because the voices is together. I believe the last couple of records we saw where there are two big artists that came together and collaborated, they don't live up to be the record we want them to be. I was a little disappointed with the R. Kelly and Usher record ['Same Girl']. I thought the record should have been bigger than what it was. ... I wouldn't want to do a song with [Mariah] and Janet and it don't live up to them being as big as they are. ... But [the collaboration] is gonna surface one day. Something is gonna come up, and we gonna say, 'This is it.' " [source]

I'm not sure if that "Same Girl"/"The Boy is Mine" concept would work for Janet and Mariah right now. Wouldn't it be childish for Mariah and Janet to sing about the same guy?! I can see them doing a song along the lines of MJ's "Scream"...poking fun at the media's obsession of Mariah's 'mental breakdown' and Janet's weight gain. The video will be interesting. Speaking of which, sources are hinting at Mariah using a "dangly pink heart" keychain that doubles as a USB port as a marketing scheme for fans to play her new tune wherever they go.
