In an exclusive interview with Essence, Solange admits the one thing every gossip blog known over a year ago - she is no longer married to her NFL husband Daniel Juelz Smith (pictured above with former sister-in-law Beyonce Knowles).

Solange and Daniel were high school sweethearts who met each other when they were 13. The pair dated for seven years before marrying and having their three-year old child, Juelz. As for public appearances as a married couple, Solange and Daniel can be seen grooving in Destiny's Child music video, "Solider."

"Well, I am no longer married, but I think it’s very important not to dish details. We are friends and we coparent our son. When he gets older I don’t want him to read anything about me saying anything about his father or vice versa. When there’s a child involved I think the less information given is best."
