SINGER AVANT SWITCHES LABELS PLUS INFO ON NEW MOVIE
R&B singer Avant has said goodbye to his musical home at Geffen Records and hello to Captiol Records. The Cleveland, Ohio native will next appear in the Ice Cube film, "First Sunday" which co-stars comedians Tracy Morgan and Katt Williams.
Avant on his new label home as told to Billboard.com: "They've shown that they're dedicated to push their resources for my projects," says the Cleveland native. "I look forward to a long lasting relationship with many, many hit records."
His Spring 2008 album release will feature production from Rodney Jerkins and DJ Smurf. His other musical gig is touring with TGT, a R&B trio made up of singers Tyrese, Ginuwine and Tank.
"First Sunday" is not the movie project on Avant's hands as he can seen in the play "Love in the Nick of Tyme," featuring Morris Chestnut.
