HEART OF THE CITY TOUR HITS MIAMI
Jay-Z and Mary J Blige's The Heart of the City tour opened up earlier tonight at Miami. Backstage, industry personailties like L.A Reid, Kanye West, Fabolous, and Young Jeezy took pictures with the tour headliners.
Mary's ninth solo album, "Growing Pains" was released this past December. In related news, Mary appeared on a BET special called "Mary J. Blige: The Evolution", which highlighted all of her trend-setting music videos.
This past November, Jay-Z released "American Gangster" which became his 10th No. 1 album debut. Jay-Z recently spoke with USA TODAY about what to expect from the 26-city tour:
"The (songs) we're playing are the soundtracks to people's lives," Jay-Z said in a statement. "We've poured our hearts out many a night in the studio and look forward to going one step further on stage."
The Heart of the City tour wraps up in May.

I feel like Mary put on a great show, she sung her heart out for a full 2 hours. Now that we got that over with Jay-Z owes me half my money back. I flew from Atlanta to see the "God MC" perform. Jay robbed the fans of his greatest hits. I heard every big hit that Mary ever put out. Jay-Z performed only 5 or 6 of his biggest songs. He performed 3/4 of American Gangter. We know that this is a concept album, but its not a performance album. I feel terrible for going to the first stop on the tour, because I bet by the time they reach New York the show will be the greatest show on earth.
