In support of his upcoming THIRD album, "Year of The Gentleman", R&B singer/songwriter Ne-Yo performed "Closer" and many of his previous hits at Wal-Mart's "Soundcheck" online concert series.



With the album coming out on August 5th, Ne-Yo performed "Stop This World" on the ABC soap opera, "All My Children" as reported on this blog last month.






If you can recall, Ashanti and Danity Kane also did a gig for this online music program. "So You Can Cry" (as you can see in the vdieo below) is said to be the second single Ne-Yo picked.






Ne-Yo was also spotted outside Madison Square with Rihanna (not pictured) after opening up Alicia Keys' "As I Am" tour. In related news, Ne-Yo just got added onto the line-up for the 2008 BET Awards.
