NE-YO'S BLOG RANT + FAITH'S MESSAGE TO KIM
Ne-Yo posted up a MySpace blog about the heavy hoopla surrounding many critical comments/actions that he has endured in the past year or so. (Personally Erykah Badu held it down for best celebrity blog rant!) Ne-Yo sure did give his critics plenty of feedback. The blog has since been taken down but read for yourself what Ne-Yo had to say.

“One rule of being a gentleman is to keep your cool and composure at all cost, but right about now I gotta loosen up this tie and take off this expensive suit jacket and talk to the people for a minute. The haters especially.

Pardon my french, but what the fuck is wrong with y’all!?! Are you so desperate for an R&B bad guy that you gotta find a way to create one in me??

Okay, the comment about light skinned babies…….an obvious joke, maybe not a good joke, but clearly a joke. Y’all REALLY took that serious!?!

I understand that a hater’s job is to hate, clearly. But it’s when people start feeding in to what a hater is saying that something must be addressed.

The whole gay thing. For goodness sake it’s been 4 years!!!! Y’all still on that huh?

The whole “boys” song, and the song “go over there”. See this is what happens when people steal. These songs were clearly written for women.

Had you been patient, you would have heard them the way they were supposed to be heard, with the voice of the intended artist on em’. But noooo, someone gets a hold of these demos and suddenly everybody forgets that I write songs for women. Riiight.

I tell People Magazine that Young Jeezy’s crib is right next to mine and that once I saw him in there from across the way. I then make a JOKE about him maybe not wanting to walk around naked in his crib with the shades up because the buildings are THAT close to each other, and that AIN’T something I care to see. Suddenly, everybody thinks I said I saw Young Jeezy in his crib naked when, NEVER ONCE did I say anything like that.

I mean come on people. Is this really what you’re gonna spend time on??

Will you not be satisfied until I truly become this asshole you so desperately want me to look like?? Here’s my stand on the whole thing: I’m NOT gay, I’m NOT prejudice to anyone, I DID NOT get stomped out by Jim Jones or anyone else, I’m NOT engaged, I’M NOT STUPID.

And to anyone that INSISTS on thinking that any of these things are true……FUCK YOU. To the haters….find some new material please!!! It’s 2009, our president is black!!! Time for change. To everyone else……I love you to death, thanx for all your support. WE PLATINUM ROUND HERE!!!!!

Much love, and see you at the Grammy’s. Check the suit…..it’s going to be TROUBLE!!!”

Faith Evans gave her feedback on Lil' Kim's casting displeasure/opinion on the upcoming Biggie biopic "Notorious." I love how Faith wrapped up the whole ordeal. As Faith explained to MTV News...

"It's just sad. I don't know Kim's story like that. The part of my life that she was a part of, that what was in my book. This movie is not relative to my book other than that there are certain things in there. This is not my movie. I didn't write the script. I got four kids, and I definitely don't have time for this type of shi*!"

Biggie's mother Voletta Wallace already addressed Kim. For the record the film was based on the Cheo Hodari Coker novel, "Unbelievable: The Life, Death, and Afterlife of the Notorious B.I.G." What do you think of this Lil' Kim/Voletta/Faith situation?

Beyonce and her fishnet stockings struck a fierce pose for the December/January 2009 cover edition of Giant magazine. Beyonce talked about how her husband Jay-Z's stage persona differs from her:

Jay is so cool. He can just stand on stage completely still, and the audience will go nuts,” says Beyonce Knowles. “Me? I have to work it! I’m shaking it and throwing it and rolling around on the floor.” [source]

Gabrielle Union worked it out in a black and gold Tadashi Shoji gown at the NY premiere of her new film, "Cadillac Records." Gabrielle also decided to go back to TV (remember her TV show, "Night Stalker"??!) She just signed up to developed a new series for NBC according to TV Guide.

Also at the NY premiere were Columbus too fine Short, Mos Def and Ne-Yo. Rumor has it that Ne-Yo has been asked to paid tribute to Barbra Streisand at this year's Kennedy Center Honors gala.

NE-YO - "MAD" VIDEO + TYRA SURPRISES BEYONCE
Check out the video spot for Ne-Yo's current single, "Mad" which is taken off his third album, "Year of The Gentleman." Ne-Yo's on-screen girlfriend is played by actress Faune Chambers (Fonzworth Bentley's girlfriend). The video fits with the song lyrics. So far Ne-Yo has release the singles, "Closer", "Miss Independent", and "She Got Her Own" off this album. I'm waiting on him to release this song that he performed on "All My Children."

Tyra Banks
gave Beyonce a surprise wedding gift on her daytime talk show. Beyonce was so shocked at the gift (a custom "Jay-Z-Boy") ...and she put Tyra in her place for standing too close to it. (LOL!) The full episode will air tomorrow on the My 9 Network with two performance sets from Beyonce's new album, "I Am...Sasha Fierce." Click here to listen to the R. Kelly "If I Were A Boy" remix.

2008 AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS
Without further delay, The 2008 American Music Awards was presented last night on ABC with a couple of "firsts" for the nominated artists. The rather-long music event was hosted by comedian Jimmy Kimmel.

Rihanna's "Rehab" performance was done in thigh-high Alexander McQueen boots which was a departure from the ruffle Zac Posen dress she arrived in. Justin Timberlake unforunately did not join Rihanna mid-way through. The Gucci Tattoo Hearts brand face picked up two American Music Awards (her first ever AMA's) for Soul/R&B Female Artist and Best Female Pop/Rock.

Kanye West (in his own clothing design Pastelle) gave a great live performance of his current single, "Heartless." Kanye's last album "Graduation" won one AMA for Favorite Rap/Hip Hop Album and he also picked up Favorite Rap/Hip Hop Male Artist. During his acceptance speech, Kanye declared that he wants to be like Elvis. 'It's our responsibility as musicians to keep pushing each other. We will be the new Beatles, the new [Jimi] Hendrix. I want to be Elvis.''

Beyonce's "Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)" dance performance brought the crowd to its feet. Even Queen Latifah got up and did a little bit of "Uh Oh." Gotta love that Armani Privé satin black and white jacket Beyonce had on.

Beyonce Single Ladies at the 2008 AMAs

The Pussycat Dolls hit the stage to perform "When I Grow Up" and "Hate This Part." I liked that Melody Thornton had supporting vocals on the first performance set. Project Runway winner Christian Siriano dressed the Dolls for their red carpet appearance.

PCD in Christian Siriano designs

The Alicia Keys "Superwoman" remix with Queen Latifah was the event's last performance and one of the best. At first Latifah's mic wasn't working but when did it, I was blow away. Latifah's rapping again?! Then out nowhere classical vocalist Kathleen Battle joined the performance set. Hands down, hot! Alicia's third solo studio effort, "As I Am" won favorite pop/rock album.

Nick Cannon was such a gentleman as he helped his wife Mariah Carey down a flight of stairs before her "I Stay In Love" performance. Mariah (in Dolce & Gabbana) picked up top honors (honorary award for Favorite Female Artist) at the award ceremony for her record-breaking music career.

Christina Aguilera opened the show with a medley of her hits which included "Genie In A Bottle", "Dirrty", "Ain't No Other Man", "Fighter", "Keeps Gettin' Better" and "Beautiful".

Xtina at the 2008 AMAs

Leona Lewis (in Jenny Packham) and Pink (in Vivienne Westwood) both hit the stage to perform their hit singles. Pink performed twice and she did a duet with Sarah McLachlan. Leona performed her current single "Better in Time."

Natasha Bedingfield and Ne-Yo both performed a medley of their hits. Tocarra was on the scene in a '50s-inspired polka-dot dress. Jordin Sparks (in Dolce & Gabbana) presented with Enrique Igelesias. Justin Timberlake paid tribute to Annie Lennox.

Jadakiss teamed up with Ne-Yo for his new single, "By My Side" which is featured on Jada's upcoming third album, "The Last Kiss." The combination is quite addictive. Check out the video below...

Beyonce has a new song floating around the music blog scene called "Radio" which was produced by Jim Jonsin. (Thanks Rae!) Rumor has it that her entire album, "I Am...Sasha Fierce" already made its way online and no I'm going to post that link. In the meantime check out "Radio."

Jay-Z recorded a song with Cee-Lo called "History" in honor of President-Elect Barack Obama. Angie Martinez played it on her Hot 97 radio show. Give it a listen...

If you thought the drama Raz-B created between B2K and Chris Stokes went away, think again thanks to Lil' Fizz. The former B2K member offered his insightful opinion on the whole situation. Fizz even took a shot at Omarion. Check it out...

T-Pain hopped right onto the new Ludacris track called, "One More Drink." Luda has his album release date for "Theater of The Mind" set on November 12th. By the way Luda spoke on Barack's historic win which you can check out here.

GQ'S GENTLEMEN BALL + NE-YO SPEAKS OUT ON BERG BEEF
Forest Whitaker, Keri Hilson, Timbaland, and Usher supported GQ Magazine’s hosting of The Gentlemen Ball in New York City. Usher who just celebrated his 30th birthday on Monday looked sharp in a purple polo sweater while Keri let her Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci booties be her outfit's centerpiece. Keri has in the past wore open-toe booties and it's safe to say that's her signature style. If you're interested in Keri's ring, do visit Melody Ehsani's design blog.

Ne-Yo decided to take the high road when asked about the comments Young Berg recently made about him. As told to MTV News, Ne-Yo definitely expressed that he's not interested in entertaining the feud. And I quote, "Response for what? That ain't my lane, dude. I don't beef. I don't do that. That ain't my thing. I don't do dis records. I don't do beef. I don't do any of that blogs talking about cats. I don't do that. That ain't my thing. I'm a grown man. I got money to make. I can't work with people that's doing this for the fame element or the money element. I think that's what's destroying music. You got cats out here that are copycatting and doing stuff that's popular. You know, doing it because that's what's in right now, whatever the case may be — but basically what you're doing is killing music. You're killing the creative element of what this is, which was the basis of this whole thing, which is self-expression." Soon after Ne-Yo said that he worked on the upcoming music projects from Usher and Whitney. Check out the Young Berg feud statement straight from Ne-Yo:
