Jennifer Hudson made her first public appearance (technically) since the tragic loss of her mother, brother and nephew via retail franchise GAP Holiday print AD campaign . Glad to see a cheerful Jennifer amidst her personal turmoil.


JHud was photographed back in July by photographer Michael Thompson in New York City. JHud approved the release of the holiday AD campaign as told by GAP spokeperson Olive Doyne: "She said she wanted to be a part of it and that we should move forward." The print AD feature Jennifer in a red GAP Wintersoft turtleneck with the tag line, "Shine Your Own Star."

Jennifer thanked all her fans via a new MySpace blog: "My sister and I take great comfort and strength from your love and concern." Jennifer alongside fiance/pro wrestler David Ortega and her close family members have been in mourning at the Trump International Hotel & Tower in Chicago.
