Toni Braxton recently admitted that she had a tumor removed from her breast during her "Dancing With The Stars" competition, according to Us Weekly. The lump was discovered during a routine checkup in August. The 42 year-old R&B singer explained to Us: "I was worried about what they would find. But it was benign. Getting the boot on the show was actually a blessing in disguise for me. We have family history. My grandmother on my dad's side died of breast cancer, and I have aunts on both sides that have breast cancer. I was very fortunate. Cancer knows no race, no creed, no color." [source: Us Weekly]

Toni has since focus her attention on her music career via the leaked track, "Melt." Her album with production by Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins is due out in 2009.
