Coming to a movie theatre near you: "John Tucker Must Die", "Scoop", and "Miami Vice"
Opening this weekend are the films, "Scoop", "John Tucker Must Die" and "Miami Vice!!!"
"Scoop"
"Scoop" is a Woody Allen flick starring Scarlett Johanson and Australian hunk Hugh Jackman (he's finally going to get his own "Wolverine" movie! YAH!).
Scoop's premise: Finding the identity of "The Tarot Card Killer" reopens
a cold case made by the prominet UK journalist Joe Strombel is what brings the audience to Scarlett and eventually Hugh. Scarlett stumbles on this case as an avid American journalism student while in vacation with friends. Scarlett's character
Sondra Pransky is startled that she is the only one able to see Strombel's spirit while watching a stage performance. Strombel as played by Woody Allen invites her to help solve this case which leads her to her number one suspect the wealthy and handsome Peter Lyman aka Hugh Jackman. In process of investigating the case Sondra and Peter stay close together and one thing leads to another and well you can figure out what happens between the two right?!? Guess AGAIN!
Should you go see "Scoop"?: Opening nationwide July 28th "Scoop" may be what the summer movie industry may need to battle head on with the fantasy flick like "Superman Returns" and "Pirates of the carribean 2!", "Scoop" may be the breather and a surprise hit like "The Notebook" from the past few summers.
"John Tucker Must Die"
"JTMD" premise: Starring former "Desperate Housewives" star Jesse Metcalfe, "American Dreams" star Brittany Snow and R&B princess Ashanti, "John Tucker Must Die"
is a story about three popular girls ("One Tree Hill" Sophia Bush, Ashanti and Arielle Kebbel) discovering the fact they got played by smooth talker John Tucker who dated all three
girls at the same time. This sounds a bit of when Rachel Leigh Cook discovering she was just a bet in "She's All That" isn't it? So the
three girls band together to seek the ulitmate revenge on John Tucker (Metacalfe). The popularity of this film goes to myspace marketing and heavy TV promotions by Ashanti.
The R&B darling Ashanti has been featured in promiment magazines like "Parade" and "Star" selling this movie alongside her boyfriend Nelly. But will myspace marketing (the film's myspace page currently
has 87164 myspace friends) and ensemble cast Metcalfe, Bush and Ashanti) help or break this movie?!?!
Each star in the film has their own myspace page promoting the film:
Heather
Carrie
Kate
John Tucker
Should you see this movie?: See this flick if you were a fan of past popular teen movies life "She's All That" and "10 Things I Hate About You" this is the film made just for you.
This film does a great job of taking you the audience member back to a time called high school where life was all about getting even.
"Miami Vice"
A Michael Mann update of the popular TV series "Miami Vice" stars Academy Award winner Jaime Foxx
and Hollywood's favorite bad boy Colin Farrell as Ricardo Tubbs and Sonny Crockett.
