Beyonce is not playing...she wants to be taken as a serious actress in Hollywood!

"It looks like male fantasies will come true as stunning stars Beyonce Knowles and Eva Longoria get ready to couple up in a new romantic movie. The beautiful pair are said to be taking the lead roles in Sofia Coppola's adaptation of Victorian novel Tipping The Velvet. Desperate Housewives star Eva is quoted by the Daily Star as saying: "Yes it's true, we're talking about doing that. "It's such a wonderful novel, a beautiful love story." Beyonce and Eva would play music hall star Kitty Butler and her lover Nancy Astley in the drama, penned by Sarah Waters. "We've had Brokeback Mountain so the time is right for this divine novel to get the same treatment," Beyonce said. An insider told the paper: "Beyonce and Eva couldn't stop talking about the new project. "Eva's character dresses up like a man for music hall so she's excited about that." Tipping The Velvet was adapted for BBC television in 2002 and starred Rachael Stirling and Keeley Hawes in the title roles."
