Welcome to the second to last installment for December's Box Office Thursday.
1 - The Pursuit of Happyness {Congrats to Will Smith on landing the number one spot!}
#1 box office movie trailer:
2 - Eragon
3 - Charlotte's Web {all the star power from Julia Roberts to Oprah couldn't make this movie #1}
4 - Happy Feet {voiced by Nicole Kidman and Brittany Murphy}
5 - The Holiday {The new Jude Law/Cameron Diaz/Kate Winslet/Jack Black chick-flick}
6 - Apocalypto
7 - Blood Diamond {what are you kidding me?!?! #7 and not at least #3??!}
8 Casino Royale {Bond appeal is still making that top billing}
9 - The Nativity Story {Great to see a Christmas theme film in the top 10}
10 - Unaccompanied Minors {the kid from 'Everybody hates Chris' is in this movie as well as Wilmer from 'That 70s Show.'}
Here's what opening this weekend: {Opening in Wide Release} Rocky Balboa, The Good Shepherd, Night at the Museum, We Are Marshall {Opening in Selected Theaters:} Letters From Iwo Jima, The Painted Veil, Venus, and Curse of the Golden Flower

What to see this weekend:
Gong Li is the star of "Curse of the Golden Flower"
Curse of the Golden Flower. This movie is for those who loved the films, "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" and "Memoirs of a Geisha." Gong Li starred in 'Memoirs of a Geisha' as Hatsumomo. Gong Li has potential to become the next big crossover Asian actress in Hollywood tahnks in part to the successes of Lucy Liu, Ziyi Zhang, and Michelle Yeoh. Curse of the Golden Flower's summary: 'A period high drama that concerns the volatile balance of power between the King and the Queen and his three sons, which entails betrayal, deceit and passion--pitting the King against Queen and father against sons." Go catch this movie. Want more proof why you should see this. Then watch the trailer.

I want to see the new rocky, "curse of the golden flower" and "the pursuit of happyness." Why is it by the end of the year the movie industry puts more thought into their films?!
