Gwen Stefani appears on the UK edition of "Elle" magazine. Gwen spoke her friendship with Angelina Jolie, her pregnancy, and her son Kingston. Read on for some quotes from this interview.
On being pregnant in the public eye:
"It was weird being pregnant in a fishbowl situation. Especially on days when you feel really fat and disgusting and not cute. Pregnancy was challenging in a way I didn't expect. I was on tour and I was so sick. It was like PMS times a million."
On her baby weight:
"I worked out with my trainer throughout my whole pregnancy until about two weeks before. I cried during my last session. I was like, 'I can't breathe, I can't do this anymore. What am I doing?' It was crazy. All my life I had to work hard to stay in shape. I've always struggled with it. I was a little chubby when I was younger, and I didn't want to be that person forever. I became a swimmer at school -- but only because I wanted to be skinner! I'm extremely vain. I like wearing cute clothes."
On getting her figure back post-pregnancy:
"There aren't any tricks, it's simple math: you put this much food in, you burn that much working out. I gave myself three months -- but if I didn't have an album coming out, there's no way I would have gotten back into shape in that time. I worked out with my trainer five days a week, with weekends off. I would really recommend doing weights. I'm not into yoga and Pilates -- they don't work for me and I don't have the patience. I'm more like a man, I like going to the gym and lifting weights or doing a little boxing."
On whether her son, Kingston, and Brangelina's daughter, Shiloh, play together:
"Yeah! They were like two little blobs when they met. Maybe they'll get married when they grow up? That'd be cute!"
On auditioning for the female lead in Mr. & Mrs. Smith:
"I don't know if I almost got it (the role), but I certainly put a lot of effort in. They were clearly looking for a certain girl, and you couldn't get more opposite than me and Angelina."
On the Hollywood body standard:
"It sucks that that's what is supposed to look good and that's what everyone strives to be. There's more to life than being on a diet. Clearly, I spend time thinking about it, and it's something I've had to deal with in my life. As I get older, I try not to focus on it, it's boring, it's a waste of life. What I have learned is that whether I'm fatter or thinner, people seem to not mind, they like me either way. It's more in your own mind than anyone else's."
On plastic surgery:
"I enjoy a great surgery TV show as much as anyone -- I watched a lotof those shows while I was pregnant! But it's pretty bizarre that that's where we're at -- that you can place an order for how you're going to look. People take it pretty lightly, but it's a big deal. I've thought it over but I'm not at that stage yet."
On being married to a fellow rock star [Gavin Rossdale]:
"There are negatives and positives, but for most part, it works. He can tell me about things going well or badly and I can totally relate to that. We were very lucky to find each other and we have this ongoing crazy love affair, with its peaks and valleys, like everyone else's...Having Kingston has been the most romantic thing to have happened to us."
On being down-to-earth:
"I still read a menu and go, 'Look at the price -- I can get that!' I still think, 'I'm in First Class, this is awesome.' It's insane what's going on in my life -- I just can't believe my luck."

Juicy tidbits
Jennifer Lopez's father David is a practicing Scientologist.
'There's been a lot of speculation that J.Lo was involved with Scientology because of her friendships with TomKat and Leah Remini, but in an exclusive new interview with NBC6 in Miami, she revealed this:
'When asked about what she thought about the negative perception some people have about Scientology, Lopez replied, "I, myself, am Catholic. But it's just sad that people would look at it (Scientology) in that way."
J.Lo also has a personal connection to the Church of Scientology.
"My dad has been a Scientologist for 20 years," she said. "It's weird people want to paint it in a negative way." ' {ONTD}

Bob Marley's sons (Julian, Stephen, and Damien) to stage a concert celebrating their father's birthday next month.
'The four sons of reggae legend BOB MARLEY will hold a concert promoting peace to commemorate the 62nd anniversary of the musician's birth next month (FEB07).
The event, dubbed "Smile Jamaica" will take place on 10 February (07) at Marley's birthplace of Nine Miles in St Ann parish on the island.
The concert will feature STEPHEN MARLEY and his brothers KY-MANI, DAMIAN and JULIAN and shares the same name as a 1976 show staged by the government of former socialist Prime Minister MICHAEL MANLEY to promote harmony between politically aligned gangs.
According to family spokesperson JEROME HAMILTON, "They are trying to push a message of peace, although it won't be as hard-core as when Bob did it."
The February date coincides with Bob Marley Week, a celebration of the singer's birth on 6 February 1945.
Marley rose from the slums of Jamaica to global stardom in the 1970s with such hits as NO WOMAN, NO CRY and I SHOT THE SHERIFF.
He died of cancer in Miami, Florida in 1981 at the age 36." {WENN}
Broadway buzz
Jennifer Hudson to star in Broadway revival of 'Dreamgirls.'
"JENNIFER HUDSON is being tipped to star in a new Broadway revival of the hit musical DREAMGIRLS, after her award-winning performance in the film adaptation.
Producers are meeting next month (FEB07) to discuss bringing the hit musical back to the New York City stage.
According to the show's composer, HENRY KRIEGER, a lawyer representing the estate of original Dreamgirls director and choreographer MICHAEL BENNETT has arranged a meeting next month (FEB07) to discuss plans for a revival.
Krieger tells the New York Post, "We think it's time. All is good."
Although Krieger claims it's too early to discuss casting, theater insiders say Hudson is rumoured to be reprising the role of EFFIE WHITE onstage.
Hudson, a self-described "theater baby", recently picked up Golden Globe and Screen Actor's Guild awards for her performance and is reportedly eager to sign on.
The original production of Dreamgirls opened at the Imperial Theater to rave reviews in 1981.
Janet Jackson reveals to 'V' magazine she didn't know she can use her credit card at the grocery store.
'JANET JACKSON was brought back to earth during a recent trip to a supermarket with pal MISSY ELLIOTT, when she discovered for the first time what shopping carts and credit card machines are.
The superstar reveals her astonishing ignorance of the basics of grocery shopping in a magazine interview.
Jackson, 40, tells V, "'I haven't set foot in a grocery store in years. And that's so embarrassing.
"I kept going 'What's this?' First of all I had the cart and I was riding down the aisles, standing on it. And we got to the checkout and there's this square thing and I'm like, 'What's this, you guys?'
"They said, 'That's so you can use your credit card'
"And I said, 'You can use your credit card in grocery stores now?' Missy just cracked up laughing.' {WENN}
