British R&B singer Jamelia recently revealed that she will be parting ways with her record label, EMI after 10 years. She said she "wasn't happy with her last album" Walk With Me, and EMI was "promoting songs she didn't believe in". However music bosses have refuted claims that she chose to leave the label and stated that lack of sales prompted the end of the contract. A label spokesman says, "We parted company because the records weren't selling."

At least she walked away with a pair of fresh YSL tribute pumps...

Solange Knowles and her son Juelz made it to the MTV Studios where she'll be hosting "TRL" for the week:

Solange had this to say about seeing her out and about with her son, Juelz:
"Every once in a while people will foward me post on gossip sites about the latest me and my family are involved in, and 99 percent of the time i shrug it off with laughter or dont pay attention at all. But recently someone emailed me something that disturbed me quite a bit. It was a post with a picture attached saying " A rare occasion, Solange spotted with her child". Now by any means, you can question my career, my music, my choice in films, friendships ect. But to question my motherhood is another story, lol. Fortunately, I live in Houston, Tx....where there are no photo ops of me dropping my son off and picking him up everyday from preschool..or me taking him every saturday to the movies, or the childrens museum, or me cooking dinner and baking cupcakes for his class. And unfortunately people are more interested in taking pictures of me going out every once and a while with friends. This post is not to defend how dedicated I am to Julez.... because he knows and I know and thats all that matters...but to commend all of my mothers out there who work their behinds off and do all they can in their powers to be the best mothers they can be and not be uplifted for it."
