TWO NEW YORK NATIVES
In a pair of fly Fendy peep-toes (or perhaps YSL pumps), Mariah Carey reemerged back into pop culture paparazzi radar for the Fresh Air Fund’s Salute To American Heroes event tonight at New York City’s uber exclusive Tavern on the Green.
While you and I may or may have ponder where Mariah was since we last seen her, word is she's working hard in the studio to the follow-up to her mega successful album to date, "The Emancipation of Mimi." So you and I can let Mariah off the hook for wearing such a sheer looking dress with ashy knees. Regardless of all that, "Circles" is still my favorite Mimi song which I felt should have been released officially.
Alicia Keys let her curly 'fo do the talking for her at the same event:
Next up for A.Keys is in a new American Express card commerical.
American Express has united some of its high-profile Cardmembers for the next iteration of the "Are you a Cardmember?" campaign to highlight the Company's unique online initiative called The Members Project. The Members Project enables American Express Cardmembers to come together as a community to submit project ideas for making a positive impact in the world, rate and discuss their ideas and ultimately vote and choose one idea that American Express will help bring to life with up to $5 million.[source]
The new spot, debuting today, brings together tennis great Andre Agassi, singer/songwriter Sheryl Crow, comedian and talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, singer Alicia Keys, and professional snowboarder and skateboarder Shaun White as they share their ideas on how to make a positive impact in the world. The spot is directed by Martin Scorsese who also comes from behind the camera for a cameo appearance.
Big up to all my fellow New York-ers!
