JILL SCOTT ON HER DIET
"Why Did I Get Married" actress Jill Scott recently revealed her diet regime in the latest edition of People magazine. For her role as a married woman in the Tyler Perry-directed film, Jill Scott said her "heart dropped" when Tyler Perry told her she had to gain weight. Jill Scott prior to the film dropped 28 pounds. One thing Jill disliked about her weight gain was the pity she received when she wore the fat suit for her movie role.
Starting tomorrow Jill will go on tour in support of her new album “The Real Thing: Words and Sounds Vol. 3.” Be sure to visit her official website and myspace for official tour dates.

"I gained 30 for this role," she said. "I wore a fat suit, and if my face didn't match the suit, then it wouldn't be believable. And then I got the lead role in Anthony Minghella's The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency, and I was meant to gain weight for that, as well." So, how is she shedding the pounds afterward? "I'm taking walks," she says. "I don't put a lot of stress on myself to lose weight. But I will, because I didn't want to gain this weight in the first place."[source]And in related news, Jill is gearing up for her next film project. Shot exclusively in Botswana, "The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency" airs on HBO next month. Check out the trailer:
