MJB'S JUST FINE VIDEO
The video treatment for "Just Fine" by Mary J Blige can be seen all day on BET. "Just Fine" serves as the lead single off her forthcoming record, "Growing Pains". This up-tempo song is also a departure from her Grammy-Award winning slow ballad "Be Without You" from her last record, "The Breakthrough". That album is consistently played on my CD player and IPOD so I'm looking forward to what Mary's bringing to the table this time around. Keep up with all things Mary over at her official myspace page.
Mary recently explained the meaning behind "Just Fine" which has a little bit of MJ influence:
“[That song] was written based on me having a good day. You know, I can have 30 or 40 [bad days]. I can have as many bad days as anyone. But I choose to say, ‘I’m just fine.’ Right now. You know those days when your hair looks good, you’re not sitting in traffic, your man’s not acting like an idiot. You’re just fine. So it’s OK to have those days. So instead of coming with something ungrateful to the universe, how about I come with something first that’s says, ‘You know what? It’s OK. Enjoy this day if you’re having a great day.’
