USHER & TAMEKA IN NOVEMBER'S ESSENCE
Erika of USHERFOREVER.COM recently added scans taken from November's "Essence" magazine featuring the married ATL-based couple Usher and pregnant stylist Tameka Foster.

Usher opened up about his supposed rift with his former manager and mother, Jonetta Patton:
From the outside looking in Usher and Jonetta's 'rift' seem to be the cause of him and Tameka's union. After all, Jonetta did NOT attend BOTH weddings but she did come out to support the launch of his fragrance. Bottom line, Usher just needs to come back with good music. Fans will laid off once he takes the initative on his music career.

"It kills me when I read what my fans think about my relationship [with my mother] because it's so wrong. I didn't fire my mother. I resigned her. Her jersey hangs forever. I could have a million managers. I will only have one mother. Our professional relationship has been very rewarding, but our exchanges can be very hard and difficult. There are times when I don't need to sit and have a business conversation and have us end up bickering and fighting. She has lost years and time. She has a fiance now. I just want my mother to enjoy her life without having to keep a day-to-day eye on my career. I want her to be grandmama to my baby."

Tameka has been a friend of Usher since her 8701 days...and they saw each other through their romantice highs ups and downs.
Yet from the outside looking in, their union seems shaky. One I met Tameka and she gave me some serious attitude! Plus she and JPat were avoiding one another like oil and water!
But I suppose not every mother is going to like their child's signficant others. Every mother's standard is high but here is a mother who built her son's career up from the ground so I can see where JPat is coming from.
I just need Usher to come out with NEW music.
I think people are too hard on his relationship with Tameka. Honestly, people probably think my husband an I are mismatched, but honestly I don't care. When you are best friends it make such a difference. I get it now, she knows everything about him and she was there though a lot.
As far as his mom, a man has to eventually grow up. I'm sad it happened with Tameka, but eventually he would need to break away from her. I am sure Jonetta was over stepping her boundaries into his personal life, too. It's probably best in the long run.
