With Early 2008 album release date edging closer and closer, Ashanti is speeding up her promotional campaign for her comeback record, "The Declaration". In the clip above, Ashanti performed the National Anthem at the Dallas Cowboys vs. New York Jets game.
Ashanti backstage at the 2007 American Music Awards open up to the media about the producers and singers she's working with on her "Concrete Rose" follow-up: "It's been about three years in between albums. I've done a lot of growing up. It's very deep and a little bit edgier than my previous [records], so I'm excited." The singer confirmed her new album features production from the likes of Pharrell Williams, Jermaine Dupri, LT Hutton and Babyface. Pharrell and Robin Thicke both sing on the record, she also said. "I've used a lot of different people so the sound is definitely, a little bit more mature than previous albums," she noted. [source]
