BUZZ ON ANDRE 3000 AND COMMON
Yesterday U-H reported that Andre 3000's ex-girlfriend Erykah Badu will be the face of Tom Ford's new fragrance. Today the Andre (one-half of Outkast) announced plans of a new clothing line called Benjamin Bixby.
This announcement comes as no surprise for those following the fashion forward vocalist's style in his group's colorful music videos.
This Fall Andre's line is expected to carry 70 pieces, ranging from wide-brimmed fedora hats to pink sweatshirts.
Andre Benjamin on comparing his line to two fashion icons: "There has to be something inventive about it. But not so inventive that it's a turn-off. So that some of the greats, like Beau Brummell or the Duke of Windsor, would nod and say 'Well done.' [source/ahotmessblog.com]
Just a few days ago, Common talked about the many business moves he had set up in the coming year in a video clip posted up on his official myspace page.
Earlier today, the Chicago-native took a brief break from his gigs in two films ("Wanted" and "Street Kings") to talk about his upcoming music project. In this interview, Common finally revealed the name of his album as "The Believer".
Common on what to expect on the follow-up to 2007's "Finding Forever": "I'm looking around November. I'm working on a new album called The Believer. I'm just getting in the mode. I been touring a lot and been working on verses here and there. Now, I'm starting to get focused on the album, letting it take its shape. And at the same time [I'll] be working on films, God willing."
