MICHELLE'S UNEXPECTED GOES POP
August is said to be the album release month for former Destiny's Child band member Michelle Williams.
For her third solo album, "Unexpected", fans will notice that her new R&B/pop sound is a departure from the gospel roots she established on her two records, "Do You Know" and "Heart to Yours".
The vocalist, who spent much of last year as Shrug Avery on the Chicago-set of "The Color Purple", let her fans about her new musical direction via blogs she posted up on her Myspace page.
According to BILLBOARD.COM,
"Unexpected" boasts production from Stargate, Rico Love, the Heavyweights, Wayne Wilkins, Andrew Frampton and SoulShock & Karl. "We Break the Dawn" is the first single, set to drop in April, while the Stargate-produced "Stop This Car" is the second.
"Stop This Car", which received positive feedback when it was posted up on Michelle's myspace page, oddly will NOT be the lead single.
Here is the track list for "Unexpected:"
"Hello Heartbreak"
"We Break The Dawn"
"Lucky Girl"
"The Greatest"
"Til the End of the World"
"Private Party"
"Stop This Car"
"Unexpected"
"Thank You"
"Too Young for Love"
