A shirtless Chris Brown can be seen on the June cover issue of "Ebony" magazine. Chris was named alongside Gnarls Barkley, Corinne Bailey Rae, Lupe Fiasco, and Angelique Kidjo as the few that refine the sound of blackness. (On a side note, yesterday was Chris' 19th birthday.)

“I wanna do something more along the lines of a grown record,” Chris Brown says. (Let’s hope grown still translates to his audience, though and not the Brian McKnight type…though the Cougars will probably not care).

CB also goes in on the whole dating thing. “I go on dates, talk to a couple of chicks on the phone,” (ouch, did he just equate the Rihanna thing to dates and phone calls). “If I ever had a girlfriend, it’d always be a problem,” he admits. “Fans want you to be attainable.”

This edition of Ebony will hit newsstands May 12th.

UPDATE: Apparently Chris' bodyguard had some fight with a photographer at his private 19th birthday bash in St. Petersburg, Florida. The photographer attempted to take photos of Chris and Rihanna leaving the party together but members of Chris' security team didn't like the idea. CHOCOLATE KISSES has the hoopla on that tidbit.
