Shortly after Chris Brown and Rihanna left Clive Davis' pre-Grammy bash (see below), they got into a heated argument that resulted in visible body injuries on both parties.



Because of this incident that occurred in Chris' rented Lamborghini (see below), they didn't attend the 2009 Grammy Awards. Rihanna supposedly pressed charges and Chris was arrested for alleged domestic violence felony battery. (Chris has since posted bail for $50,000.)



Chris' Doublemint Gum commercial (see below) which feature his single, "Forever" was suspended and he wouldn't make his scheduled appearance at the upcoming NBA All-Stars game. Rihanna according to TMZ sustained a split lip, swelling, and bruising postponed her upcoming Malaysian concert gig.



Since the story broke there has been many reports that seemed to favor Rihanna and automatically painted Chris as a woman beater. There's three sides to this story (re: puppy love/publicity stunt gone wrong) - Rihanna's, Chris', and the truth. Damm and Hmm! Let's hope both parties are fine. Time will only tell...


UPDATE: Got Milk suspended its print AD campaigns with Chris according to E Online while Rihanna maintains her CoverGirl contract.

Kanye West and T.I. both came out to talk about the allegations.

Kanye to Ryan Seacreast: "She has the potential to be the greatest artist of all time and, in that sense, I feel like that's my baby sis and I would do any and everything to help her in any situation. I don't want to speak more into the specifics with that situation, but all I'll say is it's just so devastating. I feel like, just as a person, I don’t care how famous she is or even if she just worked at McDonald's, that should never happen. It should never come to that place.

T.I. to Carson Daly: "I spoke to him today. He's cool, you know. He's a little concerned about the situation, but he's still the same Chris. I told him, 'This too shall pass.' We're celebrities, we're entertainers, but we're still human—all of us. Don't expect us not to make mistakes, because we will."

UPDATE: According to TMZ a text message Chris received from a woman ignited the violent argument.

Today a new song leaked from Ciara's upcoming record Fantasy Ride made its way onto the music blog scene. The new song in question is called "Turn Me On" with Chris Brown (who blatantly had a crush on Ciara. Remember their hot BET Awards performance?!) A full length music video from Ciara and Chris would certainly be entertaining. Unfortunately the song only leaked for a minute long tease. Give it a quick listen...



Ciara has been on point these past two months from the "Slow Down" duet with 50 Cent to her "Diva" freestyle to the release of her official single, "Never Ever" with Young Jeezy. Ciara's Fantasy Ride drops on April 3rd but what do you think of this new Ciara/Chris Brown song?

Chris Brown and Rihanna (with a cold core on her lip) were spotted side by side at Dublin's Twenty One Club on Thursday night soon after Chris wrapped up his concert at O2 arena. The close friends just recorded a new duet called "Bad Girl" for Confessions of a Shopaholic film soundtrack.



Next up for Rihanna is her upcoming pre-Super Bowl 2009 performance gig alongside Enrique Inglesias, Fall Out Boy and Lifehouse.

"Bad Girl" the new Rihanna track produced by Polow Da Don has vocals from the self-proclaimed "Good Girl Gone Bad" and her close friend Chris Brown. A formula that doesn't go wrong but quite right. Chris even raps on the track. These two ride the verse and chorus effortlessly. "Bad Girl" is said to be featured on the Confessions of A Shopaholic soundtrack. Try not to get that heavy bass beat out of your mind.

T-Pain recently release the rather colorful video spot for his third single, "Freeze" featuring Chris Brown off his current record, "Thr33 Ringz."



The video was played all day on MTV which in turn signaled the end of the "TRL" era. In case you're wondering the girl in the video is Celestina from "Dancelife" who was also appeared in Robin Thicke's "Magic" video.

Usher and his wife Tameka was spotted out and about for the first time after they welcomed their second son Naviyd Ely (December 10th) at The Bank night club in Las Vegas. The Raymonds were present to celebrate New Year's 2009 as well as Tameka's birthday.

Jennifer Lopez and her husband Marc Anthony was joined by their close friend Leah Remini for dinner at San Juan eatery Marmalade in Puerto Rico. (Take that Valentine's Day divorce rumors!)


Reggie Bush and Kim Kardashian rang in the New Year side by side at Las Vegas LAX nightclub. You already know Kim's sisters Kourtney and Khloe weren't too far away.


These two spent some one on one time shopping. You gotta love Kim's Burberry sandals.

Chris Brown and Rihanna celebrated NYE over at London's Movida. Rihanna was voted a well deserved Diva of the Year by Entertainment Weekly. (Miss "Good Girl Gone Bad" had music and fashion on lock in 2008!)

Beyonce and Jay-Z went some time off sea during their St. Barts vacation. Love that Chanel bag, colorful Catherine Malandrino dress, and those YSL sandals Beyonce has.

Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey were also on vacation in St. Barts. Mariah officially put a stop to pregnancy rumors when she was spotted drinking some wine at Nikki Beach Resort.

John Mayer did his own acoustic spin on Mariah's holiday jingle, "All I Want For Christmas Is You" for the WPLJ Benefit at Blythedale Childrens Hospital in New York.

Rihanna's successful record, "Good Girl Gone Bad" will be re-released (AGAIN) to include dance remixes ("Good Girl Gone Bad: The Remixes") according to the good folks over at RAP UP. The new album from Ms. Fenty will be in stores on January 27th months before Rihanna plans to release her follow-up next April. Next up for Rihanna is her appearance at President-elect Barack Obama's inaugural benefit on January 20th.

Chris Brown and Rihanna made their way through Miami International Airport in matching his and hers Louis Vuitton bags. These two recently got matching tribal Maori-inspired tattoos (which represents strength and love) on their wrists (see image below). Their love for matching tattoos and bags may or may not confirm their status from whatever angle you're looking at it from.



The close pair were later on seen and dressed up in style at the Y100 Jingle Ball in Sunrise, Florida where they perform "Umbrella/Cinderella." Rihanna and SRP co-founder Carl Sturken has already talked about her new album which is expected in late Summer 2009. Sturken added that Rihanna may do a movie before the album release date. Chris also spoke with Billboard about his songwriting contributions for Rihanna. In the meantime, Brown is plenty busy with other projects, including new music with girlfriend Rihanna. “I actually have a couple of songs written already that would be dope collaborations between me and her,” he says. “And I’m writing for her new album now.”

Chris Brown became the latest celebrity to endorse the famous "Got Milk" AD campaign with a milk mustache. The AD came with the accompanying headline: “Chris Brown feat. Milk. Another great collaboration? Milk. Some studies suggest that teens who drink milk tend to be leaner and the protein helps build muscle. So eat right, exercise and drink lowfat or fat free milk. Talk about a smooth move.”



2008 has quickly become Britney's comeback. Thanks to fan frenzy and blogs, the first week number sales of Britney's latest album, "Circus" pulled in over 500,000 copies according to early estimates. As confirmed by Billboard, Britney successfully secured her fourth number one album.
