TV HOOPLA WITH MARIO AND ALICIA KEYS
R&B singer Mario was eliminated last night from "Dancing With The Stars"...just 10 weeks after making his official debut on the popular ABC dance competion.
Mario and his dance partner Karina Smirnoff performed the Viennese waltz and a jive, according to this CNN.COM report.
Mario also happened to be the youngest person (age 21) to compete on the show and he left the show with the following words:
After telling the crowd, “I’ve had a great time, a great partner and great competition,” Mario said: “Len, thank you for all the comments you made. Ultimately, you helped me become a better ballroom dancer. The comment about me being an inspiration to young people, I want to say that the real great ones are the young men and women fighting for our country…I had a ball. Thank you guys.” [TV WATCH]
In a recent interview with "In Touch Weekly" magazine, Mario announced plans of recording a new album and putting his dance partner, Karina Smirnoff on his payroll.

Just like the video, Alicia and backup dancer grooved to the melody as an old-school female R&B group did back in the day.
On Monday evening, Alicia performed at her "As I Am" tour gig in Los Angeles gig. Jordin Sparks, who just recovered from her vocal infection, was Alicia's opening act.
