CHRIS BROWN AND RIHANNA AT BET AWARDS REHEARSALS

Close friends Chris Brown and Rihanna were spotted Sunday at the 2008 BET Awards rehearsals. (Thanks SWAGGER!) Can we all just pause and look at Rihanna's Spring 2008 Givenchy boots please?!

Anyhow, Rihanna dropped by "The View" yesterday morning to clear the misconception her close relationship with Chris has had.

We hang out a lot. We’re very close. He’s an amazing person but we are not dating. We’re very close friends, though. Very, very close.”

According to EONLINE.COM, Chris' mother Joyce Hawkins approves of her son's relationship with Rihanna. Chris' mother was quoted as saying Rihanna was "the sexiest* and sweetest girl Chris has ever dated." [source] *sexiest? -blinks eyes- They need more people on that quote!-

Majesty, Quick and Lola, I had the same reaction when I read that quote. No mother would call her child's significant other sexiest. That quote did not come from Chris' mother. Too suspect!
