LOOK ON LOCK EDITION: SOLANGE VS GOLDEN
Thanks to these open-toe Marni sandals that Golden Brooks and Solange Knowles recently wore, we have another fun installment of "Look on Lock" edition.

Golden Brooks of "Girlfriends" fame first wore this gray Marni heels to the launch party of The Courvoisier LRG Pop-Up Tour back in April.

Solange Knowles attended the Interscope and A&M Records “Creme Of the Crop” BET Awards Afterparty in the same shoes as Golden.

Golden and Solange both wore hot pink in these ensembles. Golden wore a tight pink dress while Solange had her famous pink cltuch on hand yet again.

Grab the same Marni sandals as Solange and Golden for $344 over at MARNI.COM.

As always, which LOOK is on LOCK -Solange Knowles or Golden Brooks?

MICHELLE WILLIAMS AT THE BET AWARDS AFTER PARTY
Michelle Williams was seen at the 2008 BET Awards after party alongside Quincy Jones, Cheri Dennis, and Kevin Liles. But before we can get into, anyone loving Michelle's side-swept bangs?!

Michelle also posted up three video blogs during her recent "TRL" performance. In the following clip, you can check out Michelle getting ready before appearing on "TRL" solo for the first time and her thoughts on her Wendy Williams interview. Be sure to visit NEON LIMELIGHT for more.

CIARA OUT ON THE TOWN
Outside of Alicia Keys and the best '90s female R&B groups, Ciara had the best performance* and high energy at the 2008 BET Awards.

Ciara performing Stepped on My Jz with Nelly and JD
(Thanks Sincerely Ciara!)

Ciara didn't sing with Chris Brown but d-a-n-c-e-d to the tune of his hit, "Take U Down" and her new song, "Echo." (Their onstage chemistry got a standing ovation from everyone including Rihanna.) Ciara knew her performance was hot (who isn't talking about this?!?) so soon after the awards ceremony she was spotted out and about in Hollywood.

Backstage at the BET Awards Ciara pose for the cameras in brown asymmetrical dress and black gladiator-style shoes. Word on the blogosphere is that Ciara has signed with a modelling agency Wilhelmina to develop a new clothing line.

*On the fashion tip: If you're wondering who made Ciara's "POW" ring and gold hoops then you need to paid a visit to Shanteé's hot fashion blog, FASHIONISTA101.COM!

LOOK ON LOCK EDITION: LAUREN VS T-BOZ
Here's another "Look on Lock" edition fresh from the 2008 BET Awards hoopla between Lauren London and Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins. Both ladies were seen in black laced-up Givenchy ankle booties at the urban music event.

Lauren London and TBoz in Givenchy booties

Lauren London walked the red carpet in a strapless gray French Connection "Wizard" dress while T-Boz wore a black empire-waist dress.

On a side tip, did you know that T-Boz served as the executive producer to Lauren's breakthrough film, "ATL"? As always, which look is on LOCK - Lauren London or T-Boz?

Grab the same Givenchy Spring 2008 ankle booties as Lauren and T-Boz over at SHOPBOP.COM for $995!

LOOK ON LOCK EDITION: ANGEL LOLA, LIL' MAMA OR RIHANNA
Video vixen Angel Lola Luv decided to wear a black strapless Betsey Johnson tulle dress to the 2008 BET Awards. If that dress looks familar that's because Rihanna and Lil' Mama wore this Betsey Johnson Spring 2008 look in pink before.

Out of the three, Lil' Mama wore her look differently while Angel and Rihanna incorporated black bra straps to their dress. As always, which LOOK is on LOCK - Angel Lola Luv, Lil' Mama, or Rihanna?

EN VOGUE, TLC, AND SWV ARE BACK!
Female R&B groups En Vogue, TLC, and SWV were arguably the talk of the 2008 BET Awards. Alicia Keys was on a roll bringing out all of her favorite female groups. I thought for a split second Salt-N-Pepa were going to come out on the stage too.

I like how each group wore black. Seeing them made me want to bring out my copies of "CrazySexyCool", "It's About Time", and "Born to Sing."

2008 BET AWARDS - FASHION HOOPLA
As I stated in the arrivals post, I decided to make a new blog post about the fashion wore at the 2008 BET Awards.

Fashion Hoopla: BET Awards performer Alicia Keys wore "Love/Hate" rings by Melody Ehsani and a pink strapless David Meister origami dress. Remember Alicia's style obsession with Ehsani designs during Super Bowl week?

Oscar-winning talent Jennifer Hudson seems to enjoy wearing bronze/beige/gold dresess. JHud (in Peter Soronen and Miu Miu heels) knows what works with her and she's sticking to it. Her new single, "Spotlight" had its music video debut during the live pre-BET Awards telecast.

Dress trend: Pink (in any shade) was the ideal color to wear at this year's show.

Lauren London wore a strapless French Connection "Wizard" dress with funky black laced-up Givenchy booties.

Trina was seen with a Louis Vuitton Murakami Monogramouflage speedy - the same bag Rihanna was seen with last week. (Thanks Tianna.)

Watch this space for more style from the 2008 BET Awards.

JENNIFER HUDSON: SPOTLIGHT" VIDEO
Jennifer Hudson's lead single, "Spotlight" had its world premiere during the pre-2008 BET Awards show. The video was directed by Chris Robinson. (Thanks Yardie's Yard!)

When Jennifer presented the first award with Terrence Howard earlier tonight, she sang a little bit of her Ne-Yo written lead track. The guy that played Jhud's love interest in the video treatment is the same shirtless male stripper in the beginning of Tyler Perry's "Family Reunion." That style and swagger is undeniable!

2008 BET AWARDS - SHOW
Check out the very best of the 2008 BET Awards show - commentary style! Usher opened up the 2008 BET Awards with a extended mix of his hit, "Love In This Club." BET and their sound engineers are notorious inclined to screwing up but why did Usher lip-synced to his OWN tune?

Jennifer Hudson and Terrence Howard were the award ceremony's first presenters. JHud and Terrence handed the Best Male R&B artist award to Chris Brown who thanked everyone but the girl he sat right next to. (Things that make me go hmm...)

Keyshia Cole's sister Neferetiti and mother Frankie announced the Viewer's Choice Awards picks. Halfway through Nef was about to pull a Tocarra. Lil' Kim joined Keyshia on stage. Maybe it's the makeup and the lights but something is different with Kim.

Visit here to check out Usher and Keyshia's performances. Ne-Yo's performance of "Closer" got a standing ovation. Ashanti and LL Cool J presented. (What's up with the winners NOT being at the awards show???)

Alicia Keys brought out all of her favorite girl groups like SWV, En Vogue and TLC. First SMV did a brief rendition of "Weak" then En Vogue did "Hold On" and finally TLC's Chilli and T-Boz came through with "Waterfalls." All girl groups and Alicia then did "Teenage Love Affair." Is it to early to call this performance THE of the year?

Kanye West's song, "Good Life" won for best collaboration. T-Pain walked onto the stage like a robot. (LOL!) Jill Scott did a soulful dedication to Al Green who later came out to perform his hits including, "Let's Stay Together." Ciara and Chris Brown on the same stage?? In the words of Ashanti - bananas! Even Rihanna got up after Chris and Ciara were done with their dance off. (Check out Ciara and Chris' performance medley of "Take U Down" here.)

So far Alicia and all the '90s female R&B groups is the event's best performance. Chris Brown sang along to Rihanna's "Take A Bow" performance. Aww...

Alicia Keys gave a nod to Barack Obama during her Best Female R&B artist acceptance speech. Diddy was all up on Alicia as he walked off the stage with Lauren London. Lil' Wayne wraps up the show with "A Milli." Read up on what else went down at the 2008 BET Awards over at PROJECT SCOOP 2)! (Thanks to Yardie's Yard for the video!)

2008 BET AWARDS - ARRIVALS
Tonight is the 2008 BET Awards. I made three blog posts (arrivals, show, and fashion) on the urban music event. Let's begin with the red carpet...

UPDATE: I made a fashion blog post on the 2008 BET Awards. This post is too long!

Best dressed pick female: Rihanna in a yellow silk chiffon tiered Giambattista Valli dress. This girl never misses a style beat.

Best dressed couple: Ne-Yo and his unidentified date for the night look fabulous. I do love Ne-Yo date's silk chiffon dress by Dolce & Gabbana.

Best dressed male: Musiq. From the shades to the white suit, Musiq made me forget he did a song called, "Radio."

Best foot gear: Solange Knowles and her wedge sandals. Those shoes look a lot like the ones Jordin Sparks wore to the 2008 Kids' Choice Awards.

Best dress style: Origami as seen on Chrisette Michele , Jordin Sparks, and Alicia Keys was a nice dress trend on the carpet.

Best handbag: Louis Vuitton was spotted on the arms of Lil' Kim and Trina.

Best color of the night: Yellow as worn by Trina, Rihanna (in Giambattista Valli) and Keyshia Cole. Brown was another hot color to wear as seen on LisaRaye and Jennifer Hudson.

You can dish out who you think were the best and worst dressed.
