TV HOOPLA: ASHANTI, KELLY ROWLAND, USHER, AND MONICA
Ashanti performed two of her hits including, "Always on Time" with special guest Ja Rule earlier today on the early morning ABC talk show, "Good Morning America" for its "Summer Concert Series". Isn't it great to see Ashanti and Ja Rule together on the same stage after this whole fiasco (re: JUDAS)? Anyhow, Ashanti opened up her two song set with her ballad, "The Way That I Love You" with assitance with a marching band. [CLICK HERE FOR BOTH PERFORMANCES]
Check out this recent performance of the JD-produced track, "Good, Good" at Ashanti's in-store Virgin Megastore Times Square gig here. In the meantime, check out these two new promotional shots Ashanti did for "The Declaration":
Usher sat down with Jimmy Kimmel to talk about fatherhood, marriage, and his new album, "Here I Stand". After the interview, Usher performed "Love In This Club" and "Here I Stand" which you can check out here.
Kelly Rowland has been busy promoting her re-release, "Ms. Kelly : Diva Deluxe" over in Australia. Kelly added a new YouTube blog taken during her studio time with Nadiya. Check out her interview on talk show, "Rove"...
Monica has joined the platoon of celebrities on reality television but this time she has her gig with a twist.
The ATL-based R&B singer named her TV show as " Monica: The Single". This show will premiere this August on Peachtree TV according to SANDRA ROSE. Word has it that the show would document her juggling her life as a mother, singer, and her clothing line enterprise. Check out Monica's response to the show...

"I really think this is going to be fun," Monica told Buzz before her announcement. "My main thing I hope to accomplish with this is, well, you know, I didn't do things in my life in the order people may have felt I should have. But ultimately, I've found my balance.
"We've found our balance," she continues, referring to the father of her two sons, rapper/producer Rodney "Rocko" Hill. "As artists, as parents and just as human beings. I hope this shows that.
"It's going to be a ride, I can tell you that. I'll probably have a moment or two on there, but I'm more than comfortable with me. I've never really been secretive about my life and what I've gone through. . . . So you know, people will see that I live the same type of life of many women with children. I don't hire a car service when the kids need to go somewhere. There's no nanny, no chef over here. I take care of home, and then might have to spend 14 hours in the studio. And people will see that. People will see all of Monica, for real." [AJC] (Will you be tuning in to Monica's show?)

I love Monica, because her voice is sooo R&B...i think she's been slept on for her last project, so hopefully things will start to look better for her-
