BEYONCE NAMES THIRD SOLO ALBUM " I AM"
The promotional blitz for
Beyonce's upcoming solo effort hasn't lost stream yet instead more updates has surfaced
online which no doubt thoroughly satisfy her die-hard fans. Check out this
behind-the-scenes clip of
Beyonce as she worked on
her "If I Were A Boy" music video in Harlem. The video also has a clip of Beyonce on the set of
"Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)" video which looks quite interesting. The video also contains footage taken from her
recent "Essence" magazine shoot and
her Tony Duran photo session. She also confirmed to
MTV that her new album will be called, "I Am" with a 10 song tracklisting. (What happened to
those 70 songs she said she worked on??) All in all, it's a must-see clip for any Beyonce fan.
Labels: Beyonce Knowles, Music Hoopla, Video Hoopla
hmm, that name is doing nothing for me. The only thing thats keeping me going with beys new project is the video for single ladies, which looks like its gonna be hot!!!
as far as the music, im not liking the sound of "If I were a boy" AT ALL. And the direction which the album looks like its gonna go. 10 songs, 2 already out, it looks like theres gonna be like 3 more ballads, a mess
I dunno, lets see if ill change my mind, everything is looking gloomy right now. Im looking forward to kelly more than B
I have a problem with the name...Chrisette Michelle's album was titled I AM...
Can she do that? Isn't there some rule that says you can't use the same names or something. I think, personally, it is disrespectful to another artist to do so especially when the albums come out the same year. I am losing respect for Bey all around.
Indigo69...I understand what you saying. I'm on the fence with it, but Chrisette's was released in June of 07, so it's not the same year. Several artists have had the same album titles though
I just feel very lackluster about this whole album. I'm not really into the music I've heard from it. The title, etc. just don't really move me.
F&F I love her vocals on "If I Were A Boy" but I think "Single Ladies (Put A Ring On it)" will become a instant hit as soon as it hits the radio.
Indigo, I had the same thought in mind when I caught the name of Beyonce's new album. That Chrisette Michele album was one of my faves to drop last year.
Thank you for clearing that up. It was June '07. Maybe because I still listen to it today but don't listen to any og Bey's stuff regularly. I do like her but her music just doesn't fit my everyday life and feelings as Chrisette's did. Sorry Bey! I LOVE Chrisette's album. I listen to it everyday at work. It is in my playlist.
I think Beyonce's music will be still played thanks to songs like "Irreplaceable", "Me, Myself & I" and of course "Crazy in Love." When Beyonce sings songs that connects with her audience, I think that effect would be shown years from now. I don't know about all of her songs but a few I can see still being played on the radio decades from now.
Chrisette's absolutely great live. Her vocals are on point. I cannot wait for new album to drop. She impressed me with her first. I was disappointed that my favorites "Mr. Radio" and "Like A Dream" weren't released with a video at least.
