The long awaited Jennifer Hudson music video for her second official singleIf this Isn't Love has finally hit the online community via PopEater. If This Isn't Love can be heard on Jennifer's self-titled debut record. Try not to sing along with JHud on this infectious tune.
This video also happen to be the first video JHud worked on ever since the murders of her mother, brother and nephew. Speaking of JHud, check out her emotional performance of "You Pulled Me Through" at the 2009 Grammy Awards where she picked up the Best R&B Album Award from Whitney Houston. (Watch JHud's acceptance speech here.)
In related news, JHud picked "Pocketbook" featuring Ludacris as her next single. (Click here to check it out.) Next up for Jennifer is her upcoming tour gig with Robin Thicke.
ENRIQUE & CIARA AT NFL PRO BOWL + TAKIN' BACK MY LOVE VIDEO
Enrique Iglesias collaborated with Ciara on his new single, "Takin' Back My Love" which they performed for the first time at the 2009 NFL Pro Bowl halftime show in Honolulu, Hawaii. These two did a great job from the vocals especially with the support of the marching band. Love that Herve Leger skirt! (Thanks Sincerely Ciara!)
Check out the official video spot for "Takin Back My Love" which was directed by Ray Kay below. Their undeniable chemistry made the video worthwhile. (Check out the photo collage I made from the video for proof!) The video comes just in time for Valentine's Day - Nice!
The Pussycat Dolls release another dance anthem off their sophomore album, Doll Domination, called "Bottle Pop." The original single feature Snoop Dogg - who collaborated with PCD previously on "Buttons." With Danity Kaneofficially split up, PCD has the singing girl group concept on lock.
The Dream alongside his newly formed girl group Electrik Red teamed up with music video director Ray Kay to put together this clip for his single, "Rockin That Thang" off the album, Love vs. Money. Radio Killa's back!
Piles collaborated with Ashanti on his new single, "Want It, Need It." These two intertwine hip-hop and R&B effortlessly, don't you agree? Is it just me or does Piles seem to favor throwback R&B music??
These two have great chemistry as reflected in the video. (Hmmm...are these two trying to tell us something???) Anyhow I love the feel good vibe Chocolate Vibe has going on. 4 days before Valentine's Day, India drops her new album.
Ciara released the video treatment for her new single, "Never Ever" featuring Young Jeezy last night on BET's "Access Granted." True to form, Ciara exhibited the one known factor about her talent - dancing.
I love that Ciara and the video director Chris Robinson added a snippet of "Promise" in the beginning. Close friend Monica and Usher's R&B group One Chance added brief appearances in the video. Cici's video honey is cute!
Polow Da Don and Ciara arguably have musical chemistry as he spinned the classic Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes’ “If You Don’t Know Me by Now" for this new Cici track.
Jazmine Sullivan, who has 5 Grammy nominations for her debut albumFearless, recently release the Syndrome-directed video for her latest single - Lions, Tears & Bears. The video concept took a few concepts straight from The Wiz/Wizard of Oz as evident with a interesting yellow brick road and a restless tiger.
Kudos to her stylist June Ambrose for hooking up Jazmine with some hot style pieces. Jazmine HAS to release as her new single In Love With Another Man ASAP but Lions, Tigers, & Bears is good for the time being. Vintage soul, indeed!
Kat DeLuna went all glam in her video for "Unstoppable" featuring Lil' Wayne. "Unstoppable" is the first single off Kat's upcoming album Inside Out which is the follow-up to 2007's 9 Lives.
The video definitely reflect where Kat got some of her musical influences (Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Christina Aguilera, and Beyonce) but aside Kat's new Pop sound/image is quite decent.
Check out the official video for Pink'snew single, "Please Don't Leave Me" off her album, Funhouse. So far Pink has release the singles "Sober" and "So What" off her latest album.
The video truly capture her funky personality, don't you agree? In related news, Pink is said to be back with her ex-husband Carey Hart according to TMZ. (Here's to them working things out!)
After the buzz from these photos snapped in Brooklyn with Gossip Girl actor Chace Crawford slowly winded down, Leona Lewis finally release the video premiere for her new single, "I Will Be" off her debut album re-release, Spirit:The Deluxe Edition. What a voice...
Great chemistry between these two, don't you agree? Melina directed the video which has Leona on the run from the NYPD. "I Will Be" definitely would become another smash hit for Leona. Spirit: The Deluxe Edition hits stores on February 3rd.
Keyshia Cole has release the music video for her second single "You Complete Me" off the album A Different Me. As the Benny Boom-directed video reflected the song has potential to be a great wedding theme song. Keyshia filmed the video spot with her favorite director on location in the mountains of Big Bear, California.
"You Complete Me" is one of my favorites off A Different Me...and I think this song will have better overall impact than her previous single "Playa Cardz Right", don't you agree?
After photos and a sneak preview hit the blogosphere Christina Milian finally release the video spot for her current single, "Us Against The World." Directed by Ray Kay, the Rap-Up magazine covergirl is decked out in designs by The Blonds and to keep her company in the middle of nowhere is a shirtless hunk. (Niiice!) "Us Against The World" is Christina's lead single off her upcoming album Dream in Color, due out April 2009.
It's to safe to say that Teairra's back! Rico Love did a great job as producer of "Hunt For You." Teairra's sophomore record, At That Point drops soon with production by The Underdogs, Neff-U, The Movement, DJ Clue, Polow Da Don and Tony Dixon.
KEYSHIA & MONICA AT PLATINUM + TEYANA'S SINGLE LADIES MOMENT
Good friendsKeyshia Cole and Monica partied at the Platinum party at the Velvet Room in Atlanta to celebrate the release of Keyshia'sthird solo record, "A Different Me" and ATLPICS.NET was on the scene with the photos. According to Necole Bitchie the two were also spotted at the Dreamz nightclub on New Year's Eve.
Teyana Taylor performed and danced to Beyonce's hit, "Single Ladies" as a tribute during one of her recent performances in Brooklyn, New York. (Thanks Fresh & Fab!) Fast forward to :30 to check it out...
I think Teyana did a great job with the song and dance moves. Teyana's new single with Pharrell called "I Feel Alive (Spinnin’)" drops sometime this month.
T-Pain recently release the rather colorful video spot for his third single, "Freeze" featuring Chris Brown off his current record, "Thr33 Ringz."
The video was played all day on MTV which in turn signaled the end of the "TRL" era. In case you're wondering the girl in the video is Celestina from "Dancelife" who was also appeared in Robin Thicke's"Magic" video.
A video parody has been made for Kanye West's "Love Lockdown" music video. The spoof is called "Kanye West: 808's & Expiration Dates (Guac Lockdown)." The YouTube clip (done by Kevin Pereira) was tagged with the following description: 'Pitch auto-correction and a simple beat can make anything chart-worthy; even a freestyle about guacamole and expired milk.' The video actor even has on Kanye's shades. (Hmmm...I wonder what Kanye has to say about this clip?)
The video premieres for the second pair of singles lifted off Beyonce's current album, "I Am...Sasha Fierce" debut onto the blogosphere. "Halo" taken off the "I Am..." side has actor Michael Ealy as her leading man and "Diva" (off the "Sasha Fierce" side) was directed by Melina. I prefer the Phillip Andleman-directed "Halo" video more out of the two because of how real the chemistry between Mrs. Carter and Mr. Ealy came across. "Diva" is where Beyonce's alter ego Sasha Fierce lets loose and she evens offers her own defintion of "Diva" in the beginning of the clip.
Check out the video premiere for Mariah Carey's new song, "Right To Dream" which is featured on the soundtrack of her new film, "Tennessee" (out in select theaters March 2009). The video has clips of Mariah in the movie and as well as her recording the song in the studio. Mariah co-wrote "Right To Dream" with country legend Willie Nelson.
Rumor has it thatMariah's pregnant with her first child. If the rumor mill (re: Page Six) is true, then congrats to Mrs. Nick Cannon! Mariah and Nick had dinner at Mr. Chow restaurant in Beverly Hills recently. (Too cute at him holding her hand!) There may be some truth to Mariah's pregnancy rumors if you check out her fuller face at the "Tennessee" L.A. press conference. (Maybe it's the camera angle?!)
Akon's new signed artist Tami Chynn has a new video out for her single, "Frozen." Honestly I have to give Akon credit for signing/bringing out Lady GaGa and Kardinal Offishall. Akon most definitely has his eye set on having different types of music on his label, Konvict Muzik. Tami (a Kingston, Jamaica songwriter) has yet to release her sophomore album, "Prima Donna." One or two comparisons can be made from the video but I think Tami held her own.
Nellyand his new sexy teeth dropped the latest video spot for his new single, "One & Only" off his album, "Brass Knuckles." (Hmmm, I wonder who inspired the song?!) Anyhow the video took me back to when Nelly did that duet with Jaheim from his "Sweat/Suit" album. Polow Da Don did his thing on the "One and Only" track. Check it out for yourself...
Days before its official world premiere and after its teaser trailer, the video for Britney'ssecond single "Circus" finally hit the web. The video was directed by Francis Lawerence - the same director who worked on Britney's "I'm A Slave 4 U." I think she pulled off that dance break towards the end. Click on the screenshot below to watch the video before it gets taken down.
Britney's new album is expected to sell over 450,000 copies its first week and it's already #1 on iTunes. Side note: Britney's official site has since denied that the "Circus" music video is not the full length version that will premiere this Friday on Entertainment Tonight.
